We are a London/Essex based Death Metal band. Part of the mighty UK Underground Death Metal Scene

While it’s by no means unusual for the UK to spew up high quality death metal bands, you would have to go back as far as Akercocke’s ‘Rape of the Bastard Nazarene’ to find a British death metal debut as ferocious as this. Tapping into the dark, destructive essence of the genre’s revered masters, these young Londoners have spawned a fresh but foul sonic mutation that blends the frantic grind of Suffocation, the claustrophobic dissonance of latter-day Immolation and the obtuse structures that Morbid Angel made their trademark nearly two decades ago. Consistently merciless but subtly diverse, ‘Condemned…’ is best exemplified by the blasting, untamed torrent of bloody aural puke that is ‘God id Dead’. DBB are exceptional, and this should be the first chapter in an astonishing saga. 9/10 Metal Hammer Album Review (June 2007)
I’ve caught Dead Beyond Buried live a few times now, but nothing I’d heard had prepared me for this onslaught of intensity and brutality. A sharp, dry sound helps the band inject the adrenalin present in crushing monsters like ‘Dissolution’ straight to your heart. Other highlights include ‘Until Black Death’ with its jarring riffs and fresh, biting aggression, ‘Organic Dementia’ which possesses shades of Immolation’s darkness and hints of Cannibal’s catchy savagery and the rampaging ‘Spear Of Longinus’. From the evidence presented here Dead Beyond Buried are ready to start competing with the best, they can successfully translate this level of power to the stage so we’ll soon be talking about an essential live proposition as well. Condemned To Misery has the songs, the sound, the performances and the look to boot, thanks to some decent artwork and presentation, which makes it an impressive debut in all respects. This is an explosive arrival – take notice, Dead Beyond Buried are here. 4/6 Zero Tolerance Album Review (July 2007)
From a slow, grinding pummel to a high velocity death metal assault, the one thing guaranteed about Condemned to Misery is boredom won’t set in. Flipping between visceral styles as seemingly and easily as flicking between discs in a multi disc player. Dead Beyond Buried make the difficult task of mixing complexities in form and function seem like one of the more easy of earth’s tasks. In terms of the production, the effect is broadly similar to that of Death’s ‘Leprosy’ by virtue of the fact that the quartet has their own distinctive sound (a rarity in this day and age!)and are not afraid to exploit it. Flying in the face of many DM outfits, who seem perfectly content to find their particular niche and wring the living daylights out of it, DBB have produced an album that has more variety over its 13 tracks than many other bands have throughout their entire career without losing sight of the brutality target. 7/10 Terrorizer Album Review (July 2007)
According to their myspace page and track 11 of their debut, Dead Beyond Buried are coming to ‘Rape Your Kingdom’, and will be doing so with ferocious kick drums, frenzied low end riffing and a whole pile of sub-sonic grunts. Which is nice of them. Churning out a sickening wall of noise, the four piece pull no punches, the quality of playing and production more impressive for the fact that the whole thing was recorded in just 4 days. This kind of ferocious racket is good to get your pulse racing and will kill in the mosh pits. 3/5 Kerrang Album Review (June 2007)
