Thanks much for the warm message, and for your kind comments and letting me know about your time with Allan. Also, I am so happy when people like those piano albums, (thanks again) though, interestingly, it is a common misconception that they somehow reveal in detail more of Allan's particular compositional approach since much of those sketches are really completely expanded on with fresh compositional ideas and forms. So I can't take that credit! As I recall the only actual transcribing I did was of certain top melody lines, with the exception of the piece Sixteen Men Of Tain, which actually is the only example of some of Allan's harmonic movement being used. It's always a compliment when people hear it that way though. Again thanks a lot and very best wishes. Gary
