When Chuck Richard and Elizabeth Seward both wound up in New York City after growing up playing shows together in Ohio, it came as no surprise to their friends and family that they started a band shortly after their big city arrival. Since naming the band after a section of a small town where they grew up, the two core members have worked since April 2004 to strengthen and spread their music. Devola has toured the country-over and over again. With five national tours under their belt, a full soundtrack on a film sold nationally at Blockbuster, a world-wide street team expanding each day, two record releases, sponsorships, and shows that continue to sell out one after another in NYC, the only question the notoriously relentless DEVOLA has to ask is, "What’s next?". But if the band’s history can clue us in at all to their future, these "Underground Heroes of New York" won’t be slowing down anytime soon.
Salvage Soundtrack Devola is the main soundtrack to the Sundance Film Festival horror flick "Salvage". The movie can be rented at your local Blockbuster or Movie Gallery and seen on channels like Showtime and TMC
Hey, how are you guys doing? I haven't heard from you in a while so I thought I'd "check in". I still love your music like crazy... when were there be more? Ya still lookin' for members?
So last night I had a totally rad dream that you guys came down and played a huge show in MD and there was like 300 people there. And then we all hung out and drank from a ginormous bottle of bacardi gold. (you guys spent the night at my place that one time when you played a show at Woods coffee house in Severna Park MD)
I have NOOO idea where this dream came from, just thought I'd let you guys know that you still have a fan here in MD waiting for another show someday!(or maybe I could get my lazy ass in gear and drive up there to see a show)
okay year's almost up. I Want TO SEE A FOUR PIECE DEVOLA AGAIN! Chuck is like a Zen master on drums. Elizabeth is an awesome f*cking Frontman(woman) feeding off of the power of the whole group. The Guitars and Bass are prewritten to combine maximum ass shaking, head banging, mosh pit meets ballet combinations! Do Not "not approve" this comment! I want this message here so people can start fiending for the old school Devola Concerts and start finding kickass members to bring back that show!

i remember meeting you, Elizabeth at the Mountain View, CA warped date but i couldnt remember what band you were in and then i found the sticker and pin i got from you! =].
and im pretty sure i gave chuck a piece of the bagel i had. or at least i think i did lol.
Thanks for the add. I discoverd you on the Gruesome Soundtrack and I really like the song near the end when she need too go to the basement hel her Mother. That's a really great song (can i find it on one of your album ?) who stick with the image and made the fear come crescendo. Awsome Job. Kriss
Unfortunately, I'm an experienced far-away fan. I'll have to wait for the distant or non-existant day when a CD falls within my reach. Will that day come?
I want you to come to my town!!! BECAUSE... we need more good shows to go out to down here, you'll have a free place to stay, we can hook you up with a venue (or two or three) to play at, and who wouldn't want to come to the beach in the middle of winter?? And I heard there's some girl that went to high school with you guys that lives down here now ;-D
I want Devola to come play in my town because.... in Spring 06 when they came through, the bassist and guitar player had bailed on them after the previous gig, and I only got to see the acoustic version of Devola. The impromptu performance was stellar, but it was the full throttle Devola I'd hoped to see that day.
You guys should come to Portland because it's a big city, yet nobody ever comes out here. And you guys are amazing musically and personally. Plus it's either you guys come out here or there will be 20 emo/"scene" bands that up. Can you really live with yourselves with you let that happen? Oh yeah, and you're one of my favorite MySpace-found bands.
heyyyyy if you guys are free this Friday night I am going to find you and drag you down to Ace of Clubs where my band Rising From A Fall will open up with a Kick Ass Show right before my friends Social Hero play right after us! Followed by Earth stood still whome I've never seen before but heard was good. so o o o . . . I'll be watching you! BWA HAW HAW HAW HAW HAW HAAWWW! ! ! . . . okay, all creepy stalking-ness aside, it will be cool if you guys came down and had a drink or ten.
