2000 - DEVOLVED debuts with a two track demo featuring the songs 'Fallen Cities' and 'Aversive Control'. The tracks instantly recieve regular airplay on various Australia wide radio programs, including the country’s largest station, JJJ fm. DEVOLVED begin headlining their own shows and quickly gain widespread National attention. The band performs interstate shows in Sydney and Melbourne. DEVOLVED returns to the Gold Coast, QLD to continue writing material for the pre-production stages of the bands debut full-length album.
2001 - DEVOLVED releases 'Technologies' Australia wide through Biotek Records and MGM. 'Technologies' receives phenomenal reviews from the press and DEVOLVED gain instant recognition as one of the Countries top metal acts. The band undertake extensive national tours to promote the album, the tours include headlining club shows and festival performances. 'Technologies' is voted the best metal release of the year on JJJ fm and in Australian Kerrang magazine. DEVOLVED film a video clip for the track 'Distorted', which instantly receives high rotation play on music television stations.
2002 / 2003 - DEVOLVED release 'Technologies' in the UK, Europe, and Japan via independent distribution deals. DEVOLVED perform over 50 shows in the UK, Europe, Japan and Australia as part of their 'World Chaos' tour, performing with bands such as Machine Head, Fear Factory, Strapping Young Lad, Arch Enemy and Opeth. DEVOLVED return to the studio to record a limited edition E.P. titled 'Automation 001'. The E.P. features 3 brand new tracks, and a live demo version of 'Fallen Cities'. It also includes a CD Rom component with live footage, interviews, images and the video for 'Distorted'. 'Automation 001' confirms DEVOLVED to be Australia's premier metal band.
2004 / 2005 - DEVOLVED begin recording their second full length studio album and are offered a deal through Sony Records Australia and Modern Music due to overwhelming success and sales figures. DEVOLVED become the first and only extreme metal band to be associated with Sony Music in Australia. DEVOLVED release 'Calculated' Australia wide, and once again receive overwhelmingly positive reviews. The band is on the road consistently following the release playing to sold-out venues in all major cities and regional areas of the Country. Drummer John Sankey travels to Los Angeles, USA to play drums and write material for a new project with Dino Cazares (x-Fear Factory), which became Divine Heresy. Sankey is an active member of the band and writing process, until visa issues force him to discontinue his involvement as drummer for the band. A song entitled 'No Mas Control' written by Sankey and Cazares was featuerd on the Roadrunner All-Stars release through Roadrunner Records.
2006 / 2007 - DEVOLVED perform a series of one-off sold out shows throughout Australia as part of a farewell tour before leaving to the USA. Founding members and song-writers John Sankey and Brett Noordin relocate permanently to Los Angeles and solidify the current line-up, which includes x-Five Finger Death Punch vocalist Kyle Zemanek, Hal Berkstresser on bass and Tony Sabatino on samples. DEVOLVED begin performing throughout California and the USA.
2008 - DEVOLVED begin writing new material for their 3rd full-length album. 2 new songs 'From The Ashes' and 'Virus' are mixed by Neil Kernon (Cannibal Corpse, Nile, Deicide, Nevermore, Judas Priest, Queensryche) and mastered by Alan Douches (Sepultura, Unearth, Shadows Fall, Hatebreed, God Forbid). The band performs numerous shows throughout California, Arizona and Nevada, quickly gaining them popularity in the local scene and reputation as one of LA's elite live metal acts. DEVOLVED also perform on the local Summer Slaughter tour and the Los Angeles Murderfest. A direct support tour with Divine Heresy then takes the band throughout various parts of America where they receive an overwhelming response. 10 songs in total are completed and pre-produced for the new album.
2009 - DEVOLVED signs a world-wide deal with Unique Leader Records, who will release 'Calculated' internationally January 2010! The album is mixed by Neil Kernon and mastered by Alan Douches. DEVOLVED will be touring throughout America in May / June, with extensive touring planned in the USA and overseas after the album release.
