Gabe: vocals and guitar
Mimi: vocals
Chris Le Dieph: bass
Ricky: percussions and drums
Paget: drums
Gabe was raised in France, where he first began learning the classical guitar at age 9. He continued playing on the electric in multiple bands to finally return to the acoustic. He was influenced by many styles of music as he traveled much of the world before settling in France. He moved to California in 1998 and when a year latter, his sister Mimi joined him from France, they started Dgiin. Mimi had been singing since age 13 in a musical association and is now concurrently singing with Hand Me Down, a local vocal trio. They met Paget a year down the road, while practicing at a Santa Rosa studio. Paget, originally from Belize, started playing drums in reggae bands at age 18. Paget now lives in Cool and is therefore a part time member of the band. Chris ‘le Deef’, originally from Ohio was recruited a few years later to hold down the low end on electric bass. Ricky, born in El Salvador, grew up in a musical household and was part of multiple touring latin jazz bands as a teenager. He then played drums in salsa and latin rock bands and finally stepped into Dgiin adding driving percussions. He currently replaces Paget on the drums when Paget is not available. Recently, Dgiin has lost their hornblower extrodinare, Jimmy The Inch, who is currently replaced by Ari Camarota, a seasoned local musician, originally from New York.

Gin, as most of us know it, is a strong colorless alcohol flavored with juniper berries. Another less widespread meaning of the word djinn is a mischievous spirit, often confined to a bottle due to reprehensible acts. Dgiin is better known around Sonoma County as a band with a unique style encompassing various cultures and influences and songs sung mainly in French. The band originated 8 years ago in Santa Rosa and can be described as French-Gypsy-Funk with a twist.
The Flamenco-Django-esque band puts on one memorable show accessible to all types of tastes and ages. Their energetic performances draw a lively crowd that can dance all night.
