Diabulus in Musica is a Spanish metal band that started in 2006 and can be defined as symphonic with gothic elements, although its influences are diverse. The members of Diabulus in Musica are experienced young musicians who decided to leave other projects and commit themselves to this new band.
During their first year of work, and with the first songs recorded with own technical means, DIM managed to be finalists in prestigious contests: Villa de Bilbao (International), “Encuentros de jóvenes artistas de Navarra” (Regional) and “Atarrabia Rock” (National). This success encouraged the band to write a great amount of songs. 12 of these songs were selected to be included in their first studio album which is currently being finalised. In the next few months DIM will focus on finding concerts and writing new songs for their second album. The band would like this second album to be conceptual and is in the process of defining its topic.
In this first album DIM had the altruistic collaboration of great musicians such as the well-known soprano Maite Itoiz (John Kelly & Maite Itoiz), the tenor Ariel Hernández (singer of the Spanish National Choir), members of the professional Early Music ensemble “Nova Lux”, the violist Laura Vallejo (member of the London Philarmonic Orchestra) and Sergio Ramírez (violinist in the Spanish National Broadcast) among others. All of them decided to collaborate with the band after noticing the excellent quality of their project.
Regarding the production of his first album “Secrets”, DIM gets the help and support of Ad Sluijter (ex guitar player of the dutch band Epica) who is working on it together with Iñaki Llarena (DIM's producer so far). Besides they are supported by the invaluable expertise of Sascha Paeth in the mastering of the album.
DIM is looking for a record label who is interested in supporting their music and would like to edit and distribute this first album.
