"Oxford’s Dial F For Frankenstein are unsigned, but Christ knows how with all those hooks, thrashy runaway guitars and soaring vocals the fangirls are gonna be weak at the knees for. Music bred on Supergrass, Morrissey and ’90s grunge.” - Truck Festival
"...a supertight ball of raw, punchy energy." - Tim Hughes, Oxford Mail
“Like Dive Dive’s
sharp-elbowed precision-punk mixed up with Radiohead’s most rockingest outings, Dial F are full
of subtlety and complexity but make a most pleasing racket.” - Nightshift Magazine
"... a cocksure burst of indie rock ..." - Oxfordbands.com
"...awesome ..." - Tim Bearder, BBC Oxford Introducing
""Dial F are currently finding that, although they’re relatively young, everybody wants a nibble on their juicy pop apple." Gappy Tooth Industries
At 0150 GMT on December 1, 1975, every telephone in the world started to ring. A quarter of a billion people picked up their receivers, to listen for a few seconds with annoyance or perplexity. Those who had been awakened in the middle of the night assumed that some far-off friend was calling, over the satellite telephone network that had gone into service, with such a blaze of publicity, the day before. But there was no voice on the line; only a sound, which to many seemed like the roaring of the sea; to others, like the vibrations of harp strings in the wind. And there were many more, in that moment, who recalled a secret sound of childhood-the noise of blood pulsing through the veins, heard when a shell is cupped over the ear. Whatever it was, it lasted no more than twenty seconds. Then it was replaced by the dial tone. dialf@sky.com.
Hey guys! No problem, hope it has steered more listeners your way. Really love the tracks. Yeah feel free to send as much as you'd like to joshblalock@gmail.com and I'll consider them for future lists. :)
Seen you play a few times around Oxford and bloody enjoyed it, we did. Hopefully get to see you live again or perhaps even gig with you the the not too distant future.
No worries guys, we were looking to a break ourselves until we ended up winning on wednesday - much to the suprise of ourselves more than anyone else!
Cheers! It was mental to play at such a great festival and see people actually getting into the music rather than just being annoyed by some irritating background noise. Saw a few shots from your set in the barn and it looks amazing! Caught the first few songs before we had to make a move ourselves and have now decided I need to catch you again in Oxford at some point so be warned!
WE WON! We'll do our best to catch your set before we go on stage at 12:45 :) Hopefully bump into you at the camp! Saw your stickers all over The Jericho Tavern! Solid promotion there guys, ahhh so excited!
