MySpace a place for friends

DJ R3X's youthful appearance might fool you, but when the voice of over 5,000 movie trailers (the late voiceover master Don Lafontaine) introduces him to the club, you know this young DJ is to be taken seriously. DJ REX started spinning at local underground hip hop shows and b-boy battles while he was in high school in 2001 and landed his first residency at Club Sevilla in Riverside. He spent the next few years developing his skills as a DJ, music producer, and recording engineer. He joined myspace.com in 2005 and quickly made a name for himself on the site where he uploaded hip hop beats and remixes that he produced in his home studio. He became known for helping several celebrities on myspace with their identity theft issues, layout designs, voting campaigns, etc. and even caught the attention of Vanity Fair magazine. After becoming closely affiliated with Kendra, Holly, and Bridget from "The Girls Next Door" and being invited to parties at the playboy mansion, DJ R3X got his first paid gig at CLUB ELEMENT in Hollywood in 2007. "I definitely owe my DJ career to shanna moakler, julie mccullough, kendra wilkinson, and holly madison, and none of that would have been possible without myspace. i didn't even spin club music before then, but the opportunity came and now i'm rockin some of the hottest clubs in southern cali and getting offers from around the world" he says. DJ R3X might be popular because of his famous friends, but he certainly has the skills and experience to prove himself in the club scene. While smoothly blending carefully selected songs of nearly every genre and time period with precise timing and just the right amount of turntablism, the crowd feeds off his energy and infectious stage presence. DJ R3X is not only an internationally known DJ and music producer who plays the keyboard and guitar, he is a recording engineer who has recorded songs that have been played on major radio stations, he's a clothing designer for an upcoming clothing line, he also does videography/video editing/photography, graphic design, etc. Many projects are in the works and only time will tell what DJ R3X will do next...
