From New York City to Tokyo DJ Sinatra's strongest ability was the ability to know what is HOT and was is NOT! DJ Sinatra was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Growing up in Brooklyn during the 80's and 90's was unquestionably the best way to be a part of the whole hip hop movement. This gave him a chance to live and breathe this form of art everyday. There he obtained his wisdom of music and a passion to create his own style from it.
In 2001 he fancied to learn more about music and he attended a one year music program in Manhattan. His first adventure in the music business came when he worked at DJ Stretch Armstrong NYC's Soho Music Studio in 2002. There he was a recording engineer and was grasping how the music industry operates. During his time there he worked with such musicians as 50 Cent, DJ Mark Ronson, Jae Millz, De La Soul, DMC, Mya and Beyonce. He also worked with a few freshly signed artist and a numerous amount of music producers. He was learning fast and had a tremedous motivation to discover more. He used this time to gain experience and lay down a foundation for what was yet to come.
As 2004 began he was starting to spin at some of the cities most popular night clubs, lounges, hotels and even some restaurants. After paying dues he was offered a chance to go to Japan. DJ Sal Morale sent him along with a longtime friend DJ Vitale to Tokyo's 1 hotspot Feria. Even though he was new, you could see that DJ Sinatra was experienced. With his energetic vibe and music selection he always finds a way to keep the dance floor moving. His eclectic mix of hip hop, funk, rock n soul, 80's, reggae, house and electro keeps him fresh out of the box at any event. Because of this he is a crowd favorite anywhere he spins in the world. DJ Sinatra is a DJ for the people. He gives you what you want when you want it.
Over the pass three years he has made numerous trips back and forth from the U.S. to Asia. DJ Sinatra's popularity is now growing fast inside NYC and Tokyo's most sought after party scenes. Since then you can find DJ Sinatra working the decks for an elite list of celebrity guests and international party people. In NYC you can hear DJ Sinatra mixing it up at all the cities most exclusive clubs and lounges. Down in Miami he is also known to rock South Beach hotspots Mokai, Cameo, Love Hate, Set, and Red Room at The Shore Club. In Japan DJ Sinatra has spun at many special events, Club Harlem, and is the resident DJ at Feria. Tokyo's most famous night spot. DJ Sinatra now has the respect of his peers and is known as one of the worlds best party starters. When asked what it takes to make a good party? His response was "well first great music, a lot of woman, Patron, and plenty of ENERGY!".
Even though he has taken time off from recording, DJ Sinatra still puts out many original re-mixes and several mix-tapes. He is also working on a compilation album of his own. Soon to be released on his independent record label Kitchen Blendas. He is also concentrating in giving life to his clothing company Sonny Carrera.
I cannot regret the choices I've made in life. My choices have allowed me to see the do's & don'ts of life. Therefore helping me make better choices to shape me to be who & what I am today. LOVE
I think one of the greatest treasures we have in life are choices. The choices you choose should be the ones that come from your heart and that best suit you. When you start making choices based on other people's opinions, pressures or conviction... You start living for them and not yourself. Don't dwell on the bad choices you've made, learn from it, grow with it and decide to make a better choices from it. Most importantly be happy with it!
Let your choices shape you to be the person you want to be and the life you want to live.
You are your only obstacle... Don't allow yourself to be your only excuse...
