(Please disregard this poor excuse for a bio, i will have a new one up shortly, hopefully professionally written and edited with proper grammar. In the mean time, here ya go.)
I'm sick of reading dj bio's that are written in the third person so i guess i'll give you a bit of a break from the norm. When i was about 12 years old, i got my first pair of turntables, they weren't much, just something i could mix and match my mom and pops funk records on (the only hip hop record i owned then i bought myself, KRS-ONE - Step into a World* (i was corrected, thank you whoever you are) , i know... i think i also bought some main source doubles and some of doc's ish...). I loved vinyl, and practiced scratching and mixing all the time after school, before bed, and soon enough i found myself teaching at the scratch dj academy when i was about 16 alongside greats like Jam Master Jay ( RIP) and Grand Wizard Theodore.
Fast forward a bit, and you find me sitting on the floor of various booths lugging records for older dj's (yeah i made it before serato) and they would often times let me rock when they needed to relieve themselves, giving me sufficient club experience thanks to horrendous bathroom lines . A few years later while attending nyu i was djing in basically hole in the wall lower east side clubs for about 100 bucks a night and writing for mass appeal magazine, at which time a good friend of mine told Rich Kleinman about me and i ended up working for Mark Ronson and Allido Records, where i learned a lot and coincidently got incredibly good at fold-a-hoop basketball and embarrassed myself infront of Lily Allen.
Anyway, being so young observing crowds really helped me be versatile because i've seen how different generations of people react to different kinds of music. Now i do these small private parties and everyone ends up dancing even if the music was intended to be more "atmospheric," while at the same time i can play these bigger clubs and keep the kids dancing better than most fat man scoopers, and its mostly because people wanna hear good music, and it's your job as a dj to give it to them, and i'm not a dj thats gonna play a whole night of one genre or take so many left turns you end up where you started, your gonna get a more unique, consistent, high energy mix of music from me than that. Now you can find me at a few of my many residencies djing for dreadful fashion week events and private parties in NY at places like 1OAK, Gold Bar, Marquee, and djing around coast to coast in LA and Miami and internationally from Paris to Milan. To be honest, djing isn't the same as it used to be, but don't be bitter, be better.
Here's a bit of formal flattery...

Press Bio:
At the age of 15, Jesse Marco was sneaking into clubs to watch Mark
Ronson and DJ AM spin. At 16 he was taking notes from Jam Master Jay. A
true New York City success story, Marco paid his dues at a young age
carrying records, interning at Allido Records (Mark Ronson) and
Scratch Academy, and spinning anywhere and everywhere just to hone his
craft.
Influenced by his mother and fathers vast collection of Classic Rock, Motown, and Funk, Marco saught the connection between these records and the
Hip Hop of his generation. This evolved to define his diverse style of mixing different genres of music, whether its Jay Z and Led Zeppelin, Diplo and Daft Punk, or Michael Jackson and Nirvana, downtown crowds gravitate towards his eclectic sets and have elected the young spinner as something new and exciting in the void of nightlife.
His hard work, skills, and passion have been recognized. The buzz and press
on Marco landed him residencies at New York's top venues such as
Goldbar, 1oak, Avenue, and Butter, Dune Nightclub in South Hampton, Playhouse in LA, LIV at the Fontainebleu Hotel in Miami, and Neo and Le Baron in Paris.
In addition, his recent buzz has led to events for the biggest names in entertainment like Jay-Z, Lindsey Lohan, Karolina Kurkova, LeBron James, Samuel L Jackson, Russell Simmons, Kanye West , Kid Cudi, Spike Lee, Denzel Washington, Busta Rhymes, Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, DKNY, Vogue, GQ, Diesel, Kenneth Cole, Nike, and NASCAR. Tom Ford hired Marco to perform at his runway show in Milan because he felt Marco’s musical tastes “reminded him of his childhood.” Marco has also been featured in Vanity Fair, Page 6 Magazine, The New York Post, W, and GQ.
Jesse is currently 22 yrs old and has already expanded his knowledge
into production. He is currently signed with DJ AM's
company Deckstar and working on re-mixes for the likes of Peter Bjorn
and John, Flo-Rida, Neyo, Ryan Leslie, Star Trak's Chester French, Weezer, and Paulo Nutini.
