This project has been a long time in the making for singer/songwriter Damon Moon. Spending the past year tucked away in a secluded home studio in the hills of North Georgia with his right hand man Jonathan Sanders, Damon Moon has written, recorded, produced, and engineered a countless number of songs, and is nearing the completion of his debut release. The record is titled "Meridian Rd." and is expected to be released in the winter of 2008. A two year stint with The Silver City Rustlers, and a few months on the road with Ocha La Rocha, insures that the debut release, and everything to follow, from this young, but seasoned musician, will be something to watch out for. Damon has put together an impressive line up to begin playing shows with, which he's titled the Whispering Drifters. The lineup includes ex-members of Ocha La Rocha (Atlanta), Bootleg Audio (North GA), and The Silver City Rustlers (North GA). The mystique of the music we've heard thus far from Damon Moon makes many curious as to what live performances will be like, and his selection of musicians to play with certainly adds to the mystery. His simple acoustic guitar, with layered electrics, subtle keys of all kinds, dreamy bass lines, and drum sounds that roll in and out like the tide on the California coast, all perfectly set the stage for Damon's warm, gentle voice. It's not all too often that a truly unique sound comes from of the historic hills of North Georgia, but let me remind you, this is a unique time.
