Hypnoz is a project of Dmitry Zubov, a musician from Moscow suburb town Fryazino, which endowed the lovers of post-industrial music with such names as Hum and Staruha Mha. His first composition was recorded in 1993, and during its existence Hypnoz has released one CD “Chronica Plennyh” on the Moscow label Insofar Vapour Bulk, which gathered tracks from different periods (The style hardly could be defined in a few words: there are dark-ambient noise collages, grievous instrumental improvisations, provocative new-wave baselines, analog-synth rhythmic and whistling pieces in Galakthorroe way. All tracks are linked by inventive ideas and feeling of nostalgia: whole album reveals sense of mistery, cold emptiness and gloomy charm.) , a couple of very limited CD-Rs, and participated on the compilation “Iznutri” by the Ewers Tonkunst label with a fragment of a composition from this album. Aside from Hypnoz Dmitry plays in several other projects: Zuboff Sex Shop (post-punk / new-wave), Circle Of Iron Tape (harsh noise), BRZB (electronics, with Alexey Borisov), etc.

Second excursion of this project into the territory of Soviet past, the release of the materials recorded in summer 2008. The project line-up consists of SGI (Vresnit / Vetvei) and one of the members of Moscow-Yaroslavl trio Night Shift. 6 noise canvases dedicated to the visions of outer darkness seen through the old radio receivers and black and white photographs. To the inseparability of the dark Cosmos and bright future in the unsaid doctrines of Soviet mysticism. As winter hibernation and spring awakening gives way to summer, Halo Manash rises radiant into luminosity, with wings spread into all worlds, and brings forth Taiwaskivi, an opulent work of solar ambience and primordial Ur-music.
Taiwaskivi, a work of sonic flame and aural ash, consists of seven interrelated tracks, utilizing such diverse instrumentation as organ, horns, vocals, drums, gongs, percussions and various string instruments as well as field-recordings captured during the pilgrimage that the creation of the work embodies.
An air of finality abounds, as Taiwaskivi, although a complete work in itself, can also be viewed as the third and final facet of a tripartite series of works that are part of one holistic creation – a treelogy, with seed, root, trunk and finally, branches. Being the culmination of an ascending journey through the aforementioned realms within and without, Taiwaskivi is the celestial crown at the peak, reaching toward Sol, source and beyond; it is the leaves and fruit of the branches and their skybound nectar ever-flowing - the sacred fire, the consummation and conjunction of All.
Comes in a hand finished cardboard booklet. Two different editions are available; regular CD edition and CD + DVD with inserts. Both are limited to 500 copies.
