Do It With Malice is a five-piece band from Buffalo, NY. Since its inception in 2004, DIWM has developed an eclectic sound, drawing heavily from the influences of numerous musical genres including metal, ska, reggae, jazz, and punk rock. Its members include guitarist/vocalist Chris Delmont, alto saxophonist Thomas Kramer VII, vocalist/bassist Josh Snyder, guitarist/vocalist Kyle Perry, and drummer Russ Steiger.
DIWM continues to be a prominent contributor to the Buffalo scene, playing various local shows throughout Western New York, while also sharing the stage with national acts such as the Mad Caddies, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Time Again, Rick Johnson Rock and Roll Machine, Left Alone, Whole Wheat Bread, and Mustard Plug.
The band's discography consists of its 2005 demo and its 2008 debut full-length, Symphonic Homicide. After the release of its demo, DIWM’s sound underwent natural stylistic changes that led to the materialization of its next recording, Symphonic Homicide. The metal-influenced full-length was recorded in Lockport, NY at Watchmen Studios by engineer Doug White (Gym Class Heroes, Every Time I Die). The band does not currently have the financial means for a physical release of its full-length, though Symphonic Homicide is available on iTunes and the band frequently gives copies of the CD away at shows.
After several years of playing shows in Buffalo on a frequent basis, Do It With Malice took a brief hiatus from live performances at the beginning of 2009. DIWM used the break productively, writing new material and reworking existing songs with a second guitar part to facilitate the progression of the band’s sound.
Do It With Malice is currently in the process of booking its comeback show for late October, followed by a steady run of shows in Buffalo. A small Northeastern tour is also in the making for the summer of 2010.
