Doomraiser were born having the intention to pay tribute to the music and to the great family of Doom, without imposing to themselves to do it in an original way or to invent anything new, but just to pass, in the best way possible, the feeling the genre has.
Straight from the Catacombs of ROMA, DOOMRAISER hits you hard with 5 tracks of total, traditional doom metal, clocking in at 58 minutes!
The band was formed out of different musical experiences in 2003, and released an excellent demo in 2004. More than 700 copies were spread, and the constant demand forced the band to have it entirely ready for download on their home page.
The response at it was so good that the band was invited to take part on the 2006 DOOM SHALL RISE IV, as well as playing both editions of the Roman STONED HAND OF DOOM (2005/6) and in the 3rd edition of the S-HAMMER METAL FEST with band like Sodom, Belphegor, Sadist.
In December the band decided to record their debut album, then began shopping it around, looking for a label. In the meantime, a very limited edition vinyl single featuring a different version of "The Old Man to the Child" was released through Ghost Records.
Contact was established and it was deemed that IRON TYRANT unleash said doombeast unto the world. "LORDS OF MERCY" will be out on October 15th, in time for the band's first European Tour. Among other dates, the band will appear at DUTCH DOOM DAY V along with bands such as Reverend Bizarre, The Gates Of Slumber and The Prophecy.
After the album release the band have supported bands like Orange Goblin, Witchcraft, Nick Olivieri & Mondo Generator (ex-Kyuss) and Red Sparowes (w/Isis and Neurosis members).
In may 2007, the band touring Europe again to support the USA heavy doomster Solace in their “The Black Black” European Tour.
The live activities of DOOMRAISER in all Europe never stop with tour, mini tour and festival appereance. It’s time for the new album and the record session start at the end of November 2008, after a new European mini tour in October and November.
“Erasing the Remembrance”, the new album, is out on March 13rd 2009 on Bloodrock Records/Black Widow Records. In April and May 2009 the band will be again in tour in Italy, United Kingdom, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, to support the new release with the drunken brother Solace.

Following last year's successful vinyl release of "Into the Drape" and "Mourn Path" on a great looking LP and Picture Disc LP, Mortuary Drape and Iron Tyrant team up once again for the definitive vinyl release of "Secret Sudaria", the band's highly acclaimed 1996 album, exactly 13 years later. This slab of occult black metal is NOW summoned as a double vinyl in order to guarantee the best possible sound. Three sides contain music, while side D is laser etched for all versions. It is housed in a beautiful, varnished gatefold cover and will contain a 12" x 24" insert with lyrics and additional artwork. The following configurations are available:
regular black vinyls (both records)
picture disc (disc 1) and purple vinyl (disc 2)
special version: silver vinyl (both records) housed in a 2-sided silken cloth cover with silver print, sewn in silver thread.
special version: gold vinyl (both records) housed in a 2-sided silken cloth cover with gold print, sewn in gold thread. As if not enough, the Spacial versions will contain an extra 7"Ep with 2 demo tracks recorded in 1997 by the same Secret Sudaria line-up. The Special versions, as one understands, are VERY limited, and are available exclusively through the band or the label.
I am now recording for a new set of releases called the "Persona Series". These cassettes will be commissioned works (not by content, but by payment) for individuals. If John Smith in London, England wants his own Zebulon Kosted album, I will make a 45 minute album (one side of a 90 minute tape), 2 hand drawn mini posters, I will name the album after him (Zebulon Kosted - John Smith), and the fan will retain all rights to the recording (for use of any future release, sampling, or broadcasting rights). One copy of the album will remain in my personal collection, and one will be sent to the customer, so that the only copy that will be in circulation will be John Smiths copy! Each album is available for the ridiculously low price of $10 (not including shipping), and will be shipped in its completed form no later than 6 weeks from the date of purchase!!!
