Douglas - vocals, guitar, and percussion, "Be Here Now" and "Like it or Not" featuring Chris Hawkes on guitar and backing vocals

Growing up in a small town in north Texas, Douglas Jay Boyd took an interest in music from a young age, participating in wind ensembles from the age of 11 playing trumpet. He picked the guitar up around the age of 14 after being re-introduced to church, particularly praise and worship music, which he co-lead and lead for the next 8 years.

A fan of multiple genres, Douglas has played jazz ensembles to church musicals to metal bands. This mix of taste is evident in his songwriting, which grays the lines between folk, jazz, soul, and rock.

Writing his first song at the age of 17, Douglas' progression in lyrical and musical quality is undeniable, having found a style and voice uniquely his own. ________________________________________________________________
Douglas moved to Austin in late 2005, and there found the environment he'd been looking for, including a family of musicians with the same talent, drive, and love for the art: Austin Found. On any given night, you may find Douglas playing percussion with Aly Tadros, Kalu James, Jack Valen, Miguel Briones, Josh Halverson, and Robin Smith, playing guitar with John Johnston or Aly, bass with Chris Hawkes, or backup vocals with Dertybird. Austin Found represents a family of musicians as similar yet different as can be imagined.

Maintaining a positive outlook on life and surrounding himself with those who possess the same positive aura, Douglas hopes to continue to make his mark in music, smiling all the while. :)
