TEACHING: Rock/Metal/Shred. My guitar teaching rates are $35 an hour, $50 an hour. The majority of my students just want to learn technique, but we can do theory as well. Whatever helps, ya know? I live in Hawthorn and am about 5 minutes walking distance from the Glenferrie Train Station.

MUSIC HISTORY: Out here in Australia I've done clinics for Line 6 and Ibanez, and been a featured player at Franskton's Guitar Festival a few times. My friend Ben Quirk and I also started Guitar Fight Club, which was initally a joke between friends, but is quite fun to do in a club with other guitarsits. We'll resume more of these when the weather gets better and we find a time that suits everyone.

FLATSTICK: My friend Gary McKay (RIP) and myself did a music project in Gary's bedroom that went really really well. So well in fact, that Chris Adler from Lamb of God asked us many times to tour with his band, and even went so far as to try and get us signed. We declined on the touring, as the band was just Gary and myself, drums and keys were programmed. The drums parts were pretty nutty, and only a few guys I know can pull this off. Noel Tenny, Rob Brens, and Euan Heriot can do it. Euan is Flatstick's drummer. Shows commence in 2035.

RADIO: I used to be an on air personality on both Triple and Fox FM, two huge stations out here in Oz. I basically ripped off Howard Stern and tried to be as offensive as possible. Soooooo much fun. Anyways, that was a great 5 years.

DR NICK: I'm in a cover band called Dr. Nick, and we're booked exclusively through AES. We play at the Glacier Nightclub in Frankston every Friday night, and the Clifton Hill Hotel every Saturday night. Come down and laugh at me trying to incorporate shred into the solo to Jesse's girl, or sweeps to Summer of '69, ha ha ha!! I do try and play in context the majority of the time, but I think my ADD gets the better of me.

In a moment of total common sense, I'm planning on buying a Line 6 Variax 600 guitar. I think it'll broaden the Dr Nick sound with true sounding acoustic guitars, and let's face it, I'll only have to bring one guitar to the gig. Yes,I'm aware it's an ugly shape. That's why I'll sticker the fuck out of it and make it 4000 times uglier. All in the name of covers. Ha ha.
