This page began as the official page for Draft Obama, the campaign to draft Senator Barack Obama to run for the presidency of the United States. Given the success of that grassroots movement, it now serves as a resource for Obama news and events as well as a portal to the Obama campaign's official Myspace page (linked above) and website.
I am currently a graduate student. It is my goal to provide you with the most important and up-to-date Obama buzz, taken from a variety of sources, such as major newspapers, reputable political blogs, and even the Obama campaign itself.
I urge you to consider the real change an Obama presidency would entail. At this critical time in our nation's history, we have the opportunity to elect a leader who has not only proven he can bring people together for the common good, as demonstrated by his extensive work as a community organizer and broad experience in public service, education, and civil rights law, but has also mobilized millions in a way that is rarely seen in American politics. The one thing that Americans want most, as a result of the last eight years, is CHANGE ... and Senator Obama is clearly the candidate of CHANGE!
Please consider joining this exciting movement - imagine an America no longer bitterly divided over wedge issues dating back to the 1960's, but unified on this true message of hope. Senator Obama understands that stressing a move to work together in order to solve societal problems generates support among most Americans and helps to transcend partisan divisions, thereby allowing the President and Congress to move forward with the important changes that must be made with respect to imperative issues including but not limited to the economy, the energy crisis, health care costs, American foreign policy, and the environment.

Fisker is expected to announce this morning that it has picked the former General Motors Boxwood Road plant near Newport to build a family-oriented plug-in hybrid sedan, a project backed by a $359 million loan from the federal government. GM closed the plant in June.
