A Heavy Metal band that plied it's trade at the height of the METALLICA and thrash dominated Metal scene in the late 80's. D.T. SEIZURE had elements of a trad-metal approach along with some thrash tendencies.
D.T. SEIZURE was formed in Portland, Maine (USA) in the Winter of 1988. In the summer of 1989, the band's 3-song demo, "Name Your Poison", was recorded at Sound Harbor Studios in Westbrook, Maine. There were plans for a second, self-titled demo being made, including the songs "Dead Man's Switch", "Worse Comes to Worst", "Where the Wild Things Are", "Eleventh Hour" and D.T.'s cover of the Allman Bros. song "Whipping Post". Unfortunately they broke up in the Winter of 1990 due to health problems within the band.
Vocalist Randy Michaud has recently resurfaced in his own band called Troglodyte Dawn. Bassist Kevin Mack briefly jammed with several bands in the Phoenix area including Race Bannon, Alpha del Omega and Phineas Gage before going MIA. Guitarist Tom Hall spent some time playing with the Barry Arvin Young Band in Portland after the breakup of the band. Drummer Brian Higgins played with several bands in the Portland area including Hair o' the Dog, The Horror and Rocktopus.
hey D.T. Seizure - thanks for adding us to your friends list - always good meeting other bands & artists from this great state of Maine! - good luck with your music - John Koutny & Red Cross Sky
kick ass, your music makes me want to eat the skin off of someone's face, and then puke it up and wear it as my own face, so keep rocking;] Hope to roll with you on some concerts!
