My goal for this letter is to launch an all-out ideological attack against the forces of antagonism. I shall do this in the only honest way that I can, which is by simply setting forth those principles that I personally believe in and that I personally observe and honor. With this letter, I hope to let DUFUS know, in no uncertain terms, that its profiteering and power mongering will guarantee the destruction of anything that looks like a vital community before the year is over. But first, I would like to make the following introductory remark: I have no idea why DUFUS wannabees have sprouted across the country like mushrooms after a downpour. If you doubt this, just ask around.
One might profess that DUFUS is obviously hiding something. While that's true, it does somewhat miss the point. You see, I do not propose a supernatural solution to the problems we're having with DUFUS. Instead, I propose a practical, realistic, down-to-earth approach that requires only that I inculcate in the reader an inquisitive spirit and a skepticism about beliefs that DUFUS's underlings take for granted. It's irrelevant that my allegations are 100% true. DUFUS distrusts my information and arguments and will forever maintain its current opinions. Think about how easy it's become for confused Huns to condition the public -- or, more precisely, brainwash the public -- into believing that if DUFUS kicks us in the teeth we'll then lick its toes and beg for another kick. It's fine to realize that my earnest denunciation of DUFUS's dissertations must have failed to register with it as being legitimate sentiment, but it's more important to know that its shock troops argue that honesty and responsibility have no cash value and are therefore worthless. These are the same bitter, loathsome mendicants who condition the public to accept violence as normal and desirable. This is no coincidence; DUFUS believes that mediocrity is a worthwhile goal.
