Dwight Casey(born Dimitry Kuzmin) was born in Riga, Latvia, and moved to the United States in the late 1990's. After taking his first piano lesson at age of 8,
he never ceased his voyage into the world of sounds and rhythms. He didn't want to limit himself to playing covers and so began writing original songs.
Dwight also began singing and hasn't shut up since then(although some asked).
Dwight has been trying to find a suitable producer to produce and record the songs he has written, but for some time his collaborations weren't successful. Eventually he found the right one - Sam from SPIFNOOF PRODUCTIONS, who produced Dwight's debut, modestly titled "I wanna rule the world". Sam added his creativity and professional touch to Dwight's songs, taking them in a new, unexpected direction. As of now Dwight is involved in promoting the album.
Dwight draws inspiration from many kinds of music, entertaining pop as well as more "serious" pieces. As a songwriter, he has written lightweight catchy
dance music as well as theatrical literature inspired songs as well as compositions with romantic themes.
Dwight's main influences are Pet Shop Boys, Human League, Gazebo, Army of Lovers,
Bodies Without Organs, Scissor Sisters, Amanda Lear, Aqua, Ace of Base and David Bowie.
Dwight's visual style is influenced by 1970's glam rock and 1980's New Romantics, hence his love of flamboyant and outrageous outfits he frequently wears on stage.
