I am a writer of songs that run the gamut of genres, magical mystical songs
that I believe in. I love to write story songs that have a beginning, a
middle an an end like my "Baby Blue Guitar" song, my "Rock Bottom Bar" song
and others similar. I also like songs that have simple lyrics where the
focus is mostly on the music as my "Cowboy Slide" tune which is a great
dance number. I have several humor songs including" "The Dolly Song" which
is all about Dolly and the twins, and "Toss It". I sang "Toss It" as the
opening number for the Durango Songwriter’s Festival in Ashville in 2008. I
have one children's song and two gardening songs. The gardening songs are
both getting radio air time. I have several country rock numbers plus some
real tear-jerkers. These songs and more are designed to bring out the full
range of emotions in you. They make people want to jump up and dance for
one song, laugh at the next and maybe even get teary-eyed at a poignant
number. These are songs that people can identify with. They are songs that
A&R music executives don’t necessarily like because they are not exactly
like the commercial songs you hear on the radio but the public loves these
songs of mine. (Many musicians face this same problem). I confess I don't
play out as much as I should or as I would like but I am working on that.
Sometimes I just sit in my basement and play to the wall. The times I have
performed for the public I did well as when I won the Talent Contest aboard
the Princess Cruise Ship and when I got the best reception at the Newcomers
Showcase at the Frank Brown International Songwriter's Festival in Gulf
Shores, Alabama. I won the Talent Contest aboard the Princess cruise ship. I
was a Showcase performer at Durango Songwriter’s Festival, In June 2008 I
played three venues in three days in Nashville. My first CD is titled "Last
Man Standing" available on http://www.cdbaby.com/eddierhoades plus I have a
second CD titled "Universal Love" in the works and it will be released in
2009. Still deciding where I will hold the CD release party(parties).
My brother Robert often joins me in my performances singing backup and
playing either guitar or conga drums. He also has a selection of beautiful
original love songs. I cannot begin to name all the musical influences in my
life but here are a few: Chuck Berry - the father of rock and roll lead
guitar, Buddy Holly - a white boy with soul and a great songwriter, Elvis
Presley - my hero, I loved the early Elvis and the Jordanaires, Bob Seeger,
Jimmy Buffet, Willie Nelson, Carl Perkins, Little Richard, Paul Simon, and
of course, The Beatles plus so many more. You are invited to visit my
website at http://www.bittersweetgardens.com and follow the musical links. I
am probably the most affordable performer around and am available for open
mic, house parties, music festivals and other venues. I am enjoying life,
gardening and music

I hope everybody notices the "All Original" on Eddie's songs. He has not got even one cover song. That's a big accomplishment. I have a lot of songs that I have written, but nothing as driving and rocking as Eddie's "She Bop", "One Good Woman", and "All About Money". And "Universal Love" has been said to be "one of the best songs ever." That's my big brother, Eddie. And in a few weeks he and I will travel to Gulf Shores, Alabama to the Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival together to perform and possibly co-write with some of the best.
Today I would like to let you know about two print magazines in Germany I'm writing for.
"Living Line Dance", reporting about line dance and country music, and "Folk Magazine", reporting about folk and country music. The magazines are high respected in Europe. They offer you a good chance to publicize yourself in Europe and Germany.
For more information, please contact me at MySpace or send email to Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de with the headline "Advertise at Living Line Dance and Folk Magazine".
hey eddie..thanks for checking out our video...appreciate the comment but we didn't shoot the video and would of had the whole band in scene but this is what we got. hope you keep things pluggin too...much success to you also!
Not really. Staying busy. My brother took me to a great place for dinner last night. I drank about a pitcher of Sangria. Yummy! Grandkids had orientation today. Start school tomorrow. Doing a lot of writing in my spare time. I wrote one poem and posted it on community I belong to and a guy wanted to put it to music. I was glad about that and told him sure. My grandson's high school rock band is playing at a theater here the 29th. They are really good. They have kept us busy with performances this summer. Good to hear from you. What's new down there?
Eddie, Thanks for being my friend. I love good music. With regards to your question, I don't play the guitar at all. I wish I did. I sing my songs to pre-recorded tracks.Someday I'd like to sing in front of a big orchestra. Are you performing with Robert in Covington ? My concert is in Conyers on the 8th of May. I invited Robert to join me with you, bit I have'nt gotten his reply yet. I hope the two of you can make it. You will be my Special guests. Bill C.
Eddie, thanks for the friendship and kind words, great tunes! I'd enjoy the Jam session this July, drop me a reminder and if I'm not on the road I'll stop by!

Hi Eddie. I hope you have a great Christmas. We learned one of your songs. I've been playing mostly acoustic guitar lately, but I still admire that black Gibson.
Well everybody knew that Eddie could play/that Silvertone guitar in a special way/He would wind it up and play it loud,/that Georgia boy knew how to work the crowd. Leadin' the dance was Sue and Sam,/They were burnin' it up at the Junk Yard Jam!
