It all started in Göteborg, Sweden back in 2003; the embryo of ef was already active, but this was the year that it all took a whole new direction. New members came into the group and the sound was totally reformed.

The following years it all went pretty quick; Besides four self recorded demos, one 7” single, one remix CDEP and two full length albums (“Give me beauty… Or give me death!” – 2006 and “I am responsible” – 2008) they accomplished 10 full EU tours, numbers of festival shows and weekend adventures. ef was featured on television, student radio, did 100s of interviews and also did a live radio session for Belgiums biggest radio station; Studio Brussel.

ef may now count themselves as one of the hardest working independent bands in Europe – and they still think there’s more to achieve.

It's fall of 2009 and the three remaining stabile members of ef have locked them self up in the rehearsal room to write and arrange the songs that will become their third full length album; “Mourning golden morning”.

The album is later that fall beeing recorded by Magnus Lindberg from Swedens finest metal band Cult of Luna in the legendary vintage studio Music-A-Matic. This is the first time the band let someone else produce and put the final touches on the mateiral.

"Mourning golden morning" will see the light of day on April 1st 2010.

    Thank you... I've been trying to download your music since 3 years ago...
    i really enjoy what i hear... in fact, just because of "hello Scotland", which was the first song i heard of EF, i started to learn how to play the "melodic"...
    i really  appreciate that EF exist,  your music has been so important in my life...
    i don't know if i'm saying this as a fan or i'm just grateful with some guys that knew how to get deep myself and change some things of my personality accidentally by just making me feel more that what i was used. 
    I'm from mexico, by the way, and i don´t know if you are into folk music.
    but it would be great if one of the few bands that now are a deep part of me could give me a SINCERE opinion about the demo of my band, just a sincere opinion, you don't need to say what you don't think just to make me feel proud of myself...

    Thanks for everything... in my opinion, you have succeeded as musicians, because making one person to remember every moment of his life and cry from the inside every time that the person listens your music, isn't easy... and that is what i love about music... and yours obviously, that Music saves your life...
