Glorious!!! I have been listening to ALL your music since "Performing Parades" came out (the dvd is exquisite). I have also watched your performance at Vlieland several times. Your music is truly spectacular, uplifting, phenomenal, and glorious! Thank you for spreading goodness throughout the world. TUSIND TAK! (I messed up my last attempt at thanking you in Danish--it was a mix of Swedish and Danish--sorry). I am excited for your new album. All the best!
Slabs of the Tabernacle NYE Party @ La Cheetah Club (formerly The Twisted Wheel) 31/12/09
Mark du Mosch (Moustache Records - Rotterdam) Electrick Dragon LIVE (Rotterdam) Casionova (Cyber Dance Records, Magic Waves, IFM) Slabs of the Tabernacle DJs
Headlining the New Year party we welcome back Mark du Mosch. This will be his third time at Slabs so it's fair to say that we have much respect for the Rotterdam artist. An obsessive collector, Mark's DJ sets manage to be intriguing and hard rocking in equal measures, and we really couldn't think of anyone better to headline the New Year extravaganza.
Joining Mark will be fellow Rotterdamer Ricky the Dragon, performing a rare live set as Electrick Dragon. Having put out records dating right back to the early 90s (under many many aliases), Ricky carries with him some proper techno credentials. With his most recent output on Moustache Records he has produced two epic synth party bombs that are now firm favourites of ours. We first caught the Dragon live show at the Magic Waves festival earlier this year and it blew us all away, and so are delighted to welcome Ricky to Glasgow for his first Scottish performance.
And finally, making the trip up from Brighton will be the Italo battle axe Casionova. Over the past two years Casionova has become a permanent fixture at Slabs of the Tabernacle. His DJ sets are straight from the heart affairs and again we couldn't think of a better guest to see off 2009.
