sonnets and singers now available for download at rawrip 0.39$ a song! < My new album 'sonnets and singers' is finished! Thanks f**k for that. you canbuy it on cd from mississippi records for only £6

<"click here to buy tracks from sonnets and singers on I tunes."> It was actually quite cheap to make because it was recorded so quickly. That means I can spend the rest of the budget at the bar! In all seriousness I'm pretty chuffed with the record. It sounds all croaky and spluttery which I like and also it sounds nothing like James Blunt - see I'm full of optimism today, not my normal moody barsteward self at all.

My old album 'next to nothing' is also on I tunes now (by the way I still like that one just not as much. however i would still stroke it and buy it flowers on it's birthday. <"click here to buy tracks from 'next to nothing' on I tunes.">

here's what some other people have said about my music in the past. If you can make sense of it you're a better man (or woman!) than me.

'a demon-eyed and thoroughly broken singer trying to separate shards of God and mutated angels from urban disease...a fascinating performance.' venue magazine

...at some stage I may have to get a proper job...making music makes you skint..particularly this type of music.... I knew I should've learnt to play catchy pop, but the thing is I've been writing these songs for years now and I just can't change. I wish I was around in the days when dark, moody singer songwriters were in but now it's all fluffy bunny stuff and I don't fit in...oh bollox.. I really thought there was a market for throat cutting ballads these days...I hate describing my music but here it goes...

If you like James Blunt I'm probably not the man for your ears. If you like Britney Spears, I have a slightly blond tinge to my hair and could even try wearing a dress but frankly it ain't happening. I'm a singer songwriter from Bristol playing a kind of 'unfluffy' acoustic music. I tend to find acoustic music these days tends to be full of people with 'pretty voices' playing 'pretty songs', this is an attempt to get away from that. I also have a heavy interest in poetry, not the english tea party kind but the blood and guts, fire and lightning kind. I have released two E.P.s and an album called 'next to nothing', you can buy it from

I have also toured Ireland. When I feel I've had too much music I like to put on my boots, grab my electric guitar and front Indie rock band 'groundless'. You can listen to them if you want at

Heya Elliot!

The putney gig sounds cool, if you're on that early then we can start pulling in the pints after your set :D

I'm afraid I won't be in London from the 1st August onwards, so the phibbers gig I won't be able to make.

London is treating me pretty well, I've neglected James and Charlene's gigs recently because I've been on holiday in Greece but I'll try and pull in together over this last month.

Would be cool to catch up.
See you on the 30th!

Hey Elliot (and Suzie!) I'm going to try and make your gig on the 30th (sorry, I'm always super tired, ok and very lazy!!)

Are you guys staying with us? You know you're always welcome!

I'm trying to organize a few short films we're keen on making... it's all so much work!!!! Ah life huh?

Speak soon, give my love to Suzie.

Thank you for your kind comment on 'Blood, Water & Wine" - the lead guitar was played by the ineffable Richard Riley at his Denny Dias best!
Hope to see you before long
