Emancypunx is a
record label
dedicated to support female fronted and female hardcore punk. The mailorder started 1995/1996 - later it was a part of the anarchist-feminist group Emancypunx. After some years the group started to be more and more a part of the famous "spectacle" and stopped to exist in reality. Now only the record label remain and it's still a part of the underground punk -network more active than ever.
Emancypunx stands also for organizig shows, tours, festivals. We organize since 12 years together with Refuse Records the Valurgis Night festival which main idea is to promote women in hc/punk and to oppose sexism & homophobia. With other friends we have a queer collective organizing different events for feminist & queer artists. So if you want to perform in Poland, make a workshop or show your film get in touch!
We do also a
zine libary
at a womens center & libery in Warsaw. So if you would like to send us a copy of your zine we would me more than happy!

why myspace?
I'm not a fan of myspace, because of many reasons (you propably all know them - Clear Channel is scary). Hope there will be an alternative hardcore punk myspace someday...
