Eron Anthony is a classical tenor/countertenor. With a range that spans over five octaves, Mr. Anthony has the techincal precision and versatility to sing not only classical and operatic works but also in the gospel, R&B, soul, neo-soul, and indie genres. By the age of five, Eron was heard as a soloist with the adult choir at his church and earned the leading role in the play, "Homeless Boy," by seven, he was singing for the Governor's annual Christmas banquet, and by age eight, was an accomplished saxophonist and trombonist. By the time he was 12, Mr. Anthony sang with many choirs, in his native Baltimore, Maryland, sang jingles for numerous national commericals, and even won over 5,000 singers to sing the National Anthem at the 1994 Orioles season opening Baseball game for a staggering 45,000 fans and a live television audience. At age sixteen, while still attending Saint Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland, Mr. Anthony was given the opportunity to visit Israel for two months. While there, he sang for the Nobel Peace Prize winner, Chaim Peri and by age eighteen, after graduating Valedictorian of his class, Eron won a major vocal competition: ACT-SO, which is affilated with the NAACP. After this, he joined the Morgan State Singers, under the direction of the late Dr. Nathan Carter and was a soloist. While there, he joined the gospel group, "Tyrone Wilkens & Favour" and toured the east coast singing God's praises. God then led Mr. Anthony to the reknowned Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University where he truly learned to hone his vocal abilities and found a love for classical music. While at Peabody, he was commissioned to premiere a work of famed 20th century composer, Ned Rorem, and from this he began to get many leading roles with opera companies and touring opera companies. At the tender age of 24, he is now a graduate student at the prestigious Boston University for Music Vocal Performance in Opera. God's blessings has shone upon him time and time again and continues to do so.
