For the First Time in Italy will take place in Rome a festival with some of the most creative live looping musicians coming from different countries of the world.
The event is part of the European Live Looping Festival 2009 organized by Fabio Anile and Sjaak Overgaauw, that will see another show in Antwerp on 30th maj 2009.
These are not “common” music festivals: thanks to the evolution of live looping devices and softwares, a single “musician” (not a DJ) can play live as an orchestra or a band, allowing the audience to enjoy the “act” of playing, mixing and composing music at once, while it happens on the stage.
In an uninterrupted/transgender 4 hours show, these creative and gifted musicians will perform a 30 minutes set each, from ambient music to experimental, from IDM to world music.
Per la prima volta in Italia la città di Roma ospiterà un festival con alcuni tra i loopers più attivi sulla scena internazionale (USA, Svezia, Germania, Svizzera, Belgio, Italia).
L’evento è parte del European Looping Festival organizzato da Fabio Anile and Sjaak Overgaauw.
Non si tratta del “solito” festival: grazie allo sviluppo di nuovi hardware e software dedicati al live looping, un singlo “musicista” (...e non un DJ) può suonare dal vivo come fosse un’orchestra o una band, permettendo al pubblico di assistere alla creazione di complesse strutture musicali in tempo rale, mentre accade sul palco.
Per 4 ore ininterrotte gli artisti internazionali ospiti del Festival si avvicenderanno in set della durata di 30 minuti ciascuno, attraversando diversi generi musicali (ambient, musica sperimentale, IDM, world music).
