..Since our first show - QUICKSAND - in 1991(St Valentines Day sees our 19th Birthday), THE CAVERN has been committed to bringing the best bands from around the world to Exeter. Great past shows we've had at the Cavern include Coldplay, Muse, Elbow, Snow Patrol, The Gossip, Sick Of It All, Feeder, Mr Scruff, Ocean Colour Scene, 3 Colours Red, Buzzcocks, Jets To Brazil, The Bluetones, Scratch Perverts, Guttermouth, Rival Schools, Samiam, Idlewild, The Subways.
Recently we have hosted shows by La Roux, Hadouken, Blackstone Cherry, Glasvegas, the Whip, The Hoosiers, Kate Nash,The Automatic, The Kaiser Chiefs, American Headcharge, Hundred Reasons, Amen, Zutons, Ordinary Boys, Maximo Park, Strike Anywhere, Silverstein, Jamie T, Get Cape, Four Tet, Explosions In The Sky, These Arms Are Snakes, Minus The Bear, and The Evens.
SATURDAY nights are our INDIE clubnight. They are FREE BEFORE 9! We have the best band playing (recent shows Air Traffic, Rumble Strips, Good Bad & The Queen, The Chalets). Doors are 8-2.
FRIDAY nights are our drum& bass/ breaks/ reggae nights. Again many are free before 9.
THURSDAY is FREAKSCENE, our punk & Metal night. Bands followed by Djs - £3 entry before 9. DJs Adam Cut Up, John Shoe, The Herons.
