"The Fancy Dan Band's songs have a bouncy, country-rockabilly sound. But they don’t hit you over the head with hipster retro-ness. They have a friendly engaging style. Just try to keep those toes from tapping or those jaw muscles from breaking into a big ol’ grin." - Richard Rice, Host of SF Hootenany Night
"It’s disarmingly charming, fun, danceable, and memorable. While much of Born Fancy hearkens back to the glory days of Sun Records — the Johnny Cash cadence, the slapback echo, the walking bass lines — it comes off authentically; more like a living, breathing extension of a classic style than mere tribute." - Todd McKenzie, The Post-Rockist
The Fancy Dan Band plays music for singing and dancing to. One minute they'll be tearing through barn burners guaranteed to get your feet stomping and your hips shaking and the next minute they'll be playing whisper soft lonesome songs that will have you teary-eyed and looking for a partner to grab hold of. Ranging in style from rock & roll to country to blues to folk to gospel, the Fancy Dan Band combines American music forms to make a unique sound that is both traditional and modern at the same time.
Growing up in the Midwest, as the son of a preacher and a teacher, Fancy Dan realized his true calling as a humdinger folksinger country stroller rock and roller and in 2006 he headed west for the San Francisco Bay Area in attempts to be as Fancy as humanly possible. Starting in 2007, Fancy Dan put together a band with 3 first-rate musicians that now includes Joe Gusich on drums, Mark Underwood on upright bass, and Michael Loebs on electric guitar, who give his songs the power they deserve.
In 2008, they made a pilgrimage to Nashville, Tennessee to record their first full-length album in a mere 3 days. After a long journey from conception to completion, their debut album, Born Fancy, was finally released in February of 2009. In the name of spreading the gospel of Fancy Dan, they have their sights set on an American tour and will jump at the chance to play your neighborhood theater, church basement, juke joint, coffee shop, living room, or barroom. Once you come in contact with the Fancy Dan Band in mind, body, or spirit, chances are you will have found your new favorite band.

I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.
I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.
Thanks

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.
