First established in 1998 as a development label by Dual ARIA nominated producer and Superheist guitarist dw Norton, Faultline Records has evolved into a fully fledged record label promoting some of Australia's most exciting rock acts and importing some of the best new talent from abroad.

In January 2007 Norton partnered up with Gary Buckley in the label. Buckley (from U.K. punk pioneers One Way System) brought a wealth of knowledge and a punk rock ethos that has strengthend the resolve of the label and it's artists alike! With a focus on signing big guitar driven bands, the label is currently heavily involved in exposing the great depth of undiscovered talent in Australia's underground.

In 2007 Faultline Records ventured into the world of tour promoting and are now very active in bringing great international bands to Australia. Australian tours such as L.A.GUNS, SHAM 69, PETER & THE TEST TUBE BABIES, THE BUSINESS and STIFF LITTLE FINGERS are putting Faultline Records and Touring well and truely on the map!

Melbourne Alt-Grinders Walk the Earth are back after an 23 month hiatus! Founded in 2004 by Superheist guitarist dw Norton, Walk The Earth toured fiercely with world heavy weights such as Slipknot, Hatebreed and Mudvayne and released the critically acclaimed "Rampant Calamities" EP on Faultline Records. With a ton a killer reviews, chaotic live shows and an uncomprimising reputation, the band were close to signing a deal with Roadrunner Records in the U.S. before parting ways with then vocalist James Ludbrook in late 2006. Back with a vengence and a brand new line up featuring vocalist Matt Currie, bassist Dre, original guitarists Richard De Silva and dw Norton and world renouned ex-Damaged madman Matt "Skitz" Sanders on drums... WTE have a new record in the can titled "A Winsome Savage" and play their first show in over 2 years at the Arthouse this Saturday with Electric Dynamite, Synthesist and Remains. Walk The Earth have just finished a short stint in Melbourne's Studio One recording a new EP titled "The Winsome Savage." The new line up seems to have clicked as by all accounts the new material is the best yet from the Melbourne quintet. New vocalist Matt Currie says " In my short time in Walk The Earth I really feel like I've found my home and working with such an experienced group makes the song writing process a pleasure. Now I just can't wait to take it to the stage!"
