After having made part of her journey only with her voice and piano, Faustine Seilman recently released her first album entitled “Silent Valley” on the Effervescence label. Carefully composed by the 10 hands of Vincent Dupas (My Name is Nobody/Fordamage), Rachel Langlais (ex-Klaktonclown), Pierre Marolleau (Fordamage) and Jonathan Seilman (This Melodramatic Sauna), this first opus, which travels across the boundaries of genres, gives birth to a music of a measured energy of restraint and explosions.
Coming home from the last year on the road where she crossed paths with some of the most emblematic figures of our time, including Thee Silver Mount Zion, Vic Chesnutt, and Nina Nastasia, Faustine Seilman is back to work with a quartet making a decidedly more electric set. A first tour with this new line-up is scheduled for October 9-19, 2008.
Faustine Seilman has played live with Swell (US), Thee Silver Mount Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra La La Band (CAN), Vic Chesnutt & guests (US), Nina Nastasia (US), Alela Diane (US), Moriarty (FR), An Pierlé (BEL), Da Silva (FRA), Micky Green (AU), Syd Matters (FRA), Laetitia Sheriff (FRA), Pillars and Tongues (US), Dark dark Dark (US), Serafina Steer (UK), Nancy Elizabeth (UK), Jenny Hoyston (US), Kania Tieffer (BEL), Ramona Cordova (AU), Thee Stranded Horse (FRA), Belone Quartet (FRA), My Name is Nobody (FRA), This Melodramatic Sauna (FRA), The Patriotic Sunday (FRA), Percevalmusic (FRA), Papier Tigre (FRA), Fordamage (FRA), The Healthy Boy (FRA), Sincabeza (FRA), Brome (FRA), Moon Palace (FRA), Ronan Ronan (FRA), Vale Poher (FRA), Dada Swing (FRA), Resistenz (FRA), Ben Jarry (FRA), Electroplume (FRA), Trafic Sonore (FRA) ...
