Slint, Minutemen, Vitamins, Monkey Mania, Josh Taylor's Friends Forever, Nightshark, Rhinosaropolis, GC MOBB, Tom Murphy, Hot Congress, Din Records, and the beautiful city of Denver, Co., Sid Vicious singing "My Way", Johnny Thunders guitar attack and the beautiful song "It's Not Enough".
Fissure Mystic was started in 1999 in Denver, Colorado.
The founding members are Taylor, Fez, and Andy.
Soon after our first few practices we added Andy's brother Simon on bass and guitar. We all went to George Washington High School and we were all in Jazz Ensemble. We would skip class and go hang out in the Jazz room and jam out on Minutemen and Sonic Youth riffs, (yeah i said it, fuck you all). We bought acid from a kid in tie-died punker boots, and recorded on a Tascam 4-track tape recorder in Fez's parents' basement. We also had shows at his house, which later became know as Fezstocks. When Simon left the band we added Suzi from My Sister Outlaw and Pseudo Dates on bass and vocals. We are now recording a full-length album, due for release in 2010. We plan to put out all the unreleased songs and albums we've recorded over the years sometime soon. We also have a song coming out on a Denver comp, called the Hot Congress Comp. We love Denver and the United States and we love the world. Bye-bye.

Sorry to spam you, we know it's lame. But, we're releasing our debut CD Zugenruhe next Friday (May 22nd) at Avogadro's Number right here in Fort Collins, and we would really love to see you there! The show starts at 9pm and is all ages and only costs $3. There will be an afterparty to be announced at the show. Thanks for putting up with our shameless self promotion. We really hope you can make it. -Alana, Brett & Erin (Stella Luce)
