Formé en Janvier 86 par d'anciens Dem, Ludwig von 88, Sherwood et Hanky Panky; influencés principalement par Dead Kennedys, Subhumans, Black Flag et Bad Brains; Le groupe après de multiples changements de formation aussi rapides qu'éphémères va se stabiliser en Juin 87 autour de Pioui -batt- Stef -Bass-, Lorent -Guit- et Ian -Vox-
3 mois plus tard, Flitox part enregistrer, un quinzaine titres tout juste rodés à Southern Studios (Londres in the UK) avec un ingénieur du son qui venait juste d'enregistrer Imagination à New York.
L'album "cet homme..." sort en Septembre 87 sur Jungle Hop. Suivent des palanquées de concerts en France, Allemagne, Suisse, Belgique... avec pleins de groupes amis (Mst, Les Gnomes, Heimatlos, Smegmatics, Cosmic wurst, Berurier Noir, Scream, Parkinson Square, Washington dead cats, peter & ttb, SNFU,GBH, Soulside, encore Scream Vandals, et tout pleins d'autres...).
Le Deuxième album est mis en chantier en Juillet 88, parti pour être enregistré à Washington (DC comme au cinéma), il est finalement mis en boite à Bercy (sur la seine à Paris) grace au bon travail des services d'immigration U.S. Il est mixé à Londres par Harvey Birrel et en Octobre 88: sortie de l'album "radio TV active" avec une belle pochette.
En Mai 89, le groupe s'adjoint une seconde guitare (Hervé) et en Juillet 89, le groupe splitte et se reforme 2 mois après avec un nouveau chanteur (Mike de IYF). Des titres sont rapidement composés pour un 3e Album et une nouvelle tournée qui doit passer par le Canada, Mais fidèle à sa réputation, le groupe se disloque définitivement en Janvier 90. Stef passe dans Treponem Pal et Pioui rejoint Ausweis.
En 1994; Lorent, Stef (et Pioui brièvement) vont rejouer ensemble avec un nouveau chanteur (Tez- Murdock) dans les Marshmallow Dykes (qui existent toujours mais garanti désormais 100% sans Flitox, check dans nos amis)
Le 26/12/2007: ZONE ONZE Records sort le digipack "ce groupe est mort" regroupant 27 titres (extraits des 2 albums + 2 titres figurant sur des compilations) + booklet de 20 pages avec plein de choses dedans.
À l'occasion de la sortie du Digipack, Flitox ressort brièvement du Coma, un petit tour et puis s'en vont... et s'en retournent à l'oubli.

Flitox formed in January 1986, with ex-members of Sherwood, Ludwig Von 88, and Hanky Panky. After eight rehearsals, the band played their first gig, at l'USINE (a squatted Factory") in Paris suburbs opening for LV88.
Four rehearsals later (At this time Flitox rehearsed in the basement of a oldmen's house), the band recorded five songs for a 7", released by the very new label Jungle Hop International in May 1986.
While everything seemed to move forward for the band, the first problems came up: their singer Eric left in June of 1986, due to musical differences. After trying out many singers/vocalists, the band finally settled on PeeWee in November 86. Ten days after this, the drummer left the band , few days after he was replaced by Alex (X syndicate), who stayed in the band until March '87 Pee-Wee, who was singing at first, moved to drums, his former instrument . Finally by the end of May '87, Ian joined: To celebrate: three weeks after his arrival, Flitox played three gigs.
At the end of the summer, Flitox and its equipment boarded in a Renault 5 towards London , and recorded/mixed 15 songs in 6 days at Southern Studios with Trigger. The LP, titled "Cet homme est mort...", was released by Jungle Hop in November 1987 and followed gigs in France, Germany, Switzerland and Belgium with lots of cool bands.
by Feb' 88, Flitox made plans to record their second LP in DC, as well as play 20 dates with the band Dissent (South Dakota). Everything was OK until Ian could not get his visa, due to his precarious social situation. The second LP ended up being recorded at WW (Paris) and mixed at Southern Studios by Harvey Birrel.
"Radio TV Active" was released in October of 1988, and followed by gigs, problems, car wrecks etc, etc...
In May '89, a second guitarist joined Flitox, Hervé (ex-Blade), as other guitarist Lorent had priorities that came before Flitox. In July, after a month of tensions within the band, Flitox broke up. 2 months later, the band restarted with a new singer: Mike (IYF), and by the end of September 1989, songs for a third LP had been written.
After a few months of rehearsals and two gigs opening for RollinsBand, Flitox finally splits in January 1990. Stef joined treponem, and Peewee joind Ausweis.
In December 2007; 20 years after their 1st LP release, Zone Onze records released a 27 tracks digipack featuring 25 songs from the 2 Lps and 2 songs appearing on compilations. Flitox final line-up after 18 years of coma, celebrated -3 times- the reissue on Paris stages.
