FLUORYNE is a project initialised 2005 by Falk, who also was with German Black Metallers EÏS (..yea, the band formerly known as GEÏST, which had to rename itself due to the paranoid ranting by some band from Cologne..) as Faruk, master of keys. The five long lasting songs on "Dämmerung" are musical approaches to the era of German Expressionism. Their lyrics are selected poems by Jakob van Hoddis ("Morgens"), Alfred Lichtenstein ("Fern" and "Unwetter") and Georg Trakl ("De Profundis" and "Klage"). The main reason for choosing these poems is the atmospheric similarity between Expressionism and Black Metal - both have been forged out of negation and the loss of established values... .. Judged from the musical perspective, "Dämmerung" moves away from the Black Metal sound of FLUORYNE's early days and includes various influences from Ambient music, Trip Hop and Industrial. In all its diversity, the overall darkness and solitude is the foundation for both music and poetry. .... "Dämmerung" is performed by Falk himself, featuring selected guest musicians: Lykrates Vyron (aka Cypher D. Rex, vocalist of GEIST) on drums, Pariah G. (aka Gravlagd, vocalist of STENCH OF STYX) on vocals and Martin Wiese (ENID) performing clean vocals. The album has been mixed and mastered by SONIC REIGN drummer Sebastian Schneider and is adorned by an overwhelming artwork, based on Ink Drawings by the talented artist J.....
