For Some Time Past The second album is coming...
--------------------------------------------------------
When Forteba’s first album “Space Between Us” was released on Plastic City in 2007, the listeners and critics were convinced by the clear sound and the clear intention Krisztián Dobrocsi followed with this debut. It was a getaway from every day life with senstive sounds in a relation chip with music that became equal with a loved person and it allowed the listener to throw all negative feelings in the box the beats built by giving them a stream into space of consciousness. Since then he worked on the second album while touring through the world and working with his beside project as Krisztián Decay where he convinces as lounge producer. Now it is time for his second album “For Some Time Past” to explore the world and to shape it with a new facet of deep electronic house music.
With the new album “For Some Time Past” Krisztián Dobrocsi shows again his talent to create a deepness that does not seems to be wet. The listener will not find a culmination of room effects that are overlaying the dreamful core of the tracks. It is impressing how he concentrates on the elements and their absolute effect they have on the arrangements. In Tracks like “Snowfall”, “Exxed” or “For Some Time Past” Krisztián shows how straight deepnes can be. Otherwise he proves with tracks like “Dizoxin”, that also appeared on the “Plastic City Radio Show” compilation, “Piko” or “Second” how deep and emotional dancefloor oriented tracks can move an audience. Experimenting with emotions in a levelheaded an measured way Forteba created an album that is free from euphoria by what it is possible to watch the feelings through a magnifying-glass.

Space Between Us The first album at Plastic City
--------------------------------------------------------
Forteba was born and raised in Hungary where he chooses the occupation of an electronic music producer at the age of eighteen. His early compositions were settled near breakbeat and chill-out area but he soon found his passion in straight rhythms and arrangements inspired by German deep-house stuff. He likes to embed various elements of dub and ambient into straight clear rhythms, so his borders of style are hard to define. He produced some successful singles in his home country as “The Garage” together with Gábor Pasztoriális and got released at Hungary-based underground labels. Within this important period he built up his own studio and consequently founded a lounge-band with a friendly musician. He spent much time on touring with that band and pushing his production skills to the limits the following two years.
The next person who got involved in the productions of Forteba was Zoltán Nagy of From P60. He got responsible for mixing the tracks. That caused another rise of the high class standard Forteba already had set. The listeners and critics have been convinced about the state-of-the-art sound by his debut at Plastic City. Finally we arrive at his first album where he reinterpretes and develops house in all possible facets. Forteba is more than scratching at the surface – he’s instantly diving into the emotional world of the listener and captivates his audience with always warm, diversified and excellent tracks. Starting with the vastness of a dive with closed eyes (“Fortune in your hand”) he guides you to minimal, soulful sounds (“Ain’t nothin") and finishes the circle with deep floor-burners (“Rainbows of the moment”) – his album is offering everything you need to forget everyday life as you press the play-button. The array of tracks is well thought out – you will forget time…and press “play” again. Broad, deep, breathtaking beautiful… Forteba - more then than a insider’s tip!

Forteba or Krisztian Dobrocsi, as he is known to his proud parents, hails from the Hungarian city of Vac where he found his true calling relatively early, with sweet eighteen: producing electronic music of all colours. ...
... Starting off with breakbeat and chill-out music, he soon ventured into the world of straight four-four rhythms, profoundly inspired by German deep house. With his friend Gero, he formed a live band playing lounge music in Switzerland from 2002 to 2004. Setting up his own studio with befriended musician and production partner Gábor Pasztorális in 1999, Krisztian and Gábor started to release music under the name Le Garage on various Hungarian labels. Around the same time Krisztian got to know P60's Zoltán Nagy, a Drum'n'Bass DJ who would subsequently hire Krisztian for post-production services in P60's deep house department. ...
... Today, Krisztian is using his Forteba moniker only for his deep house outings, calling himself Krisztian Decay for his lounge excursions. With his debut on Plastic City, the talented Hungarian shows his dedication as well as his instinct for deep and driving deep house in all its facets. His three tracks, solid, state-of-the-art productions, always driven by a powerful groove structure, range from drifting, dream-like episodes to full-on floorburners and definitely show Krisztian's ability to enchant with compelling beauty.
Krisztian is also making music in another, slower style. His lounge project is called Lipuria, and its named after an unknown city... To see the full story, go to Lipuria's MySpace by clicking
