Bekannt wurde David aka DATA durch seinen treibenden Electropop-Hit 'Rapture'. Dieser Song treibt einen durch die Disco wie damals schon der Flashdance-Soundtrack und dort eben genau 'Maniac'. Diese wunderbare Fusion aus aktuellem Disco-Sound, alten 80ies Synthesizern und der wunderbaren Gaststimme von Sebastian Grainger (Ex-Death From Above 1979) verhalf dem Song zu KULTSTATUS. Aber wer hier meint, das DATA als One-Hit-Wonder abzutun sei, der irrt sich gewaltig. Im Gegenteil scheint der junge Mann umtriebig und weitläufig interessiert zu sein.
