Since joining UK label Ninja Tune in 1997, Eric San aka Kid Koala has been leading a one-man-and-many-turntables revolution mixing traditional jazz, hip hop, blues, funk and ska with mind-blowing sound collages.
Making what is possibly the best use of coughing, sneezing and chicken sounds in recorded history, this Chinese-Canadian’s knack for comic sampling has become stuff of legend. Looking beyond the mere self-boasting scratching techniques, Eric’s focus on the overall listening experience saw him approach sampling with such unparalleled originality and geeky honesty that in no time he became one of the most blindly adored DJs anywhere.
Back in Beijing for a solo show where anything and everything is permitted, expect this Kid to have y’all style-bending somewhere between the chicken-shack and the hail-stack, up the groove, getting down and back. This is the Thursday party of the year y’all!

接下来，澳大利亚双人组合THE HERMITUDE 将于10月9日(周四晚)在The Shelter为我们献上难以置信的现场演绎。刚刚结束他们的日本之行，THE HERMITUDE将为上海的观众带来一个与众不同的周四夜晚，他们将向我们展现器乐hip hop 竟能令人如此亢奋。刚结束了和DJ Krush, RJD2, DJ Kentaro 以及Dizzee Rascal的合作，让我们拭目以待他们马不停蹄现场动手将慢调乐曲改编成动人的舞曲。
为了让观众体验最前卫的摇滚乐，FREE the WAX有幸请到PIVOT(Warp)后摇滚乐现场演奏乐队前来助兴。现场布置比起Sonic Youth 和The Cinematic Orthestra亦毫不逊色。摇滚乐迷和各种音乐爱好者将一起体验他们如何用"合成电子噪音"演绎超凡脱俗的"逃避主义"。

09-09-09 Release date, for what you ask? Wait and see
So nice to have you as a friend in our network here at myspace. K-Jell new cd “refreshing power” was released in China on the 23 of March, it will be out in Europe later this spring. Maybe you will be so kind to take a few minutes and listen to the new songs and tell us what you think. Music vice it’s a mix of bands like The Jam, The Clash, Rancid, Green Day and Still Little Fingers, or at least in that direction. K-Jell will tour China in April and probably visit Germany during the summer. Rest of the world later….
