Frontlash has been around since 1997. After over a decade they are still active and one of Stockholms oldest hardcore bands.
THE HISTORY SO FAR
The pre-history to Frontlash started back in '94, when Matte met Erik.
At that time Matte was the drummer and they rehearsed covers of Warzone and Agnostic Front, and a few of their first own songs where written. They called themselves “Last Warning”.
It was not until the year of '96 that they took the name Frontlash.
They did not find any vocalist so Matte took the mic in '97 and in on drums came Totte. In the summer of 98 they found Fille who became the bands bass player. Now they had a full force – the original line-up.
The bands influences has always been the New York hardcore scene, like Agnostic Front, Warzone, Cro-mags, Sick Of It All, Madball.
In '99 they released their first effort, the legendary “STHLM HC” EP.
Under the following years the band released a few vinyl 7” and comps on different labels.
Over the years Frontlash have supported bands like Spider Crew, Cold as Life & H8 Inc.
But it would take the band a hell of a struggle, a decade, and a few broken record deals to finally record their first full CD called “Fall Back to Zero”.
10 songs where recorded in May '07, those songs were written between 2001 to the day before the studio was entered. They also recorded one old song (South Side) from the Last Warning era '94.
One of the song – Around the world does also features Eddie Sutton from the legendary New Your hardcore band Leeway on vocals.
The CD was finally released in mars 2008 by the USA label Sliptrick Records in co-operation with the bands own label called South Side Records SWE.
The bands motto is to keep Stockholm on the international hardcore map.
