  • Bio

Hailing from Kingston Jamaica, George "Fully" Fullwood has the well-earned recognition as being one of "The Greats" in the music industry. Reggae legend and founder of the crucial '70s Jamaican reggae band, the Soul Syndicate, Fully Fullwood has been instrumental in shaping the sounds of Jamaican music for over 40 years. The bass is only one of his many talents; he is also an accomplished producer, composer, songwriter and singer. As one of the most popular and well-known bass players in the world he has worked and/or recorded with every major artist out of Jamaica, including many of the all-time greats in Jamaican music, Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Keith Hudson, Alton Ellis, Roy Shirley, Ken Boothe, Jacob Miller, Michael Rose, Augustus Pablo, Horace Andy, Joe Higgs, Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs, Delroy Wilson, Sugar Minott, Junior Reid, Tenor Saw, Tony Tuff, Frankie Paul, Big Youth, John Holt, U-Roy, Freddie McGregor, The Heptones, Abyssinians, Congos, Johnny Clarke, Pat Kelly, Tapper Zukie, Derrick Morgan, Tommy McCook, Cornell Campbell, Marcia Griffiths, Yabby You, Junior Byles, Justin Hinds, The Itals, Jimmy London, The Maytones, Vernon Buckley, Niney the Observor, Slim Smith, Dillinger, Junior Delgado, Yellowman, Dave Barker, Jackie Paris, Winston Riley, The Techniques, Stranger Cole, Duke Reid, Prince Buster, Pat Kelly, Errol Dunkley, Eek-A-Mouse, Ijahman Levi, Rod Taylor, Prince Alla, The Mighty Diamonds, Black Uhuru, Sister Carol, Judy Mowatt, Mikey Dread, Max Romero, Tristan Palmer, Phillip Frazer, Don Carlos, I-Roy, Andrew Tosh, and many more. Fully Fullwood's bass sound has provided the essential rhythm to these artists' powerful words, and was the anchor of the final lineup of reggae superstar Peter Tosh's famous band, Word, Sound and Power. After recording hundreds of tracks for so many other artists, Fully released his first solo album, For All Time, in 2006. It was well received and loved by many. On May 27, 2011 he released his second solo project entitled FULLY LOADED, a double CD with twenty-two original songs. Fully Fullwood continues to be deeply creative and positively innovative as he brings reggae into a whole new dimension with FULLY LOADED. Producer Credits include: "Fully Loaded" – Fully Fullwood, Fullwood Music (2011); "Firm Soundation" – Jax Mex, Family VYBZ Records (2009); "For All Time" – Fully Fullwood, Bad Daddy Records (2006); "For All Time" – Fully Fullwood, Fullwood Music (2003); "Reggae'N Blues" – Fauzi Beydoun, Indie Records (Gold,1997); "The Brazilian Albums" – 'Sr. Banana', Virgin Records (1995); "Make Place for the Youth" – Andrew Tosh and The Soul Syndicate Band, Tomato Records (Grammy-nominated 1989) Film Credits: "Red X" (documentary about Peter Tosh); "Word, Sound and Power" (documentary about the Soul Syndicate Band) – Frances Fullwood
