Gallactus started in 2001. Fueled by the riffs of Black Sabbath and songs about giant robots, deep sea tyrants and alien drug dealers, the New Brunswick four-piece have two releases and plan on releasing their third this year. Gallactus has shared the stage with bands such as Alexisonfire, Goat Horn, Rammer, Ion Dissonance, Misery Index, Neuraxis, Bucket Truck, Iron Giant, At The Mercy of Inspiration, and many other local acts.

I know that most fans of this genre are going to pick
up on the name with their "stoner radar" and check
this one out on their own, and most others won..t give
a rats ass, so i..ll keep it short and sweet.
Stonerrock.com probably love these guys, they probably
play with most of the Doom and Rock bands that come
through town, and when they are not working or playing
they are probobly partying. A concoction of rock and
sludge inspired from the dirty south, Galactus 77 wil
tickle of pretty much every fan of Earthride, Halfway
to gone, Solace and Church Of Misery. Killer Fuzz-tone
Bass, gravelly vocals (very in the vein of Dave
Sherman of Earthride)lengthy sludge riffs and upbeat
rock shifts, and you know this one is for the next
trip boozin in the woods. Like McDonalds says, "I..m
lovin it."
Killer art from malleus (of Ufomammut) known for his
psychadelic creations for stonerrock.com, Bongzilla,
Nebula and other "stoner staples" this one is the full
deal and well worth picking up!!
