There was nothing much to do in 1998 in a small city in the south of Spain called Jerez.

3 kids formed a punk rock band and locked themselves in a rehearsal room to glorify their punk rock heroes and make a bunch of fast melodic songs that ended up being the band’s first album “Proud to be nothing”. They were called Pakomoto, Dani and Rafa.

The kids got bored and felt like calling another kid from a neighbour city called Cadiz to join the band as a second guitar player. His name was Pablo.

A decade after, these 4 kids are still together, but they are not kids any more.

They have made another 4 albums and they have toured all around Spain, Europe and North America.

It is a long time since the early years, and the band’s sonic field has also grown up widely from Rock to Power Pop, from Punk to Americana.

Now they are back with their 5th studio album:"Decalogy", a record that deserves a celebration after more than a decade on the road.

There are some highlights for this new album: It has been produced by Paco Loco, and there are some great guests like Paul Lazar (Gotan Project), Dave Smalley (Dag Nasty / Down by Law) or Muni Camón. Also, it will be the first reference in the band’s own label Red Vanette Music.

From September 2009 you will be able to get the new album and enjoy the band live.

En 1998, no había mucho que hacer en una pequeña ciudad del sur de España, llamada Jerez.

3 chicos formaron una banda de punk rock y se encerraron en un local de ensayo para rendir tributo a sus héroes del punk rock y sacar un puñado de canciones rápidas y melódicas que terminaron siendo su álbum de debut, llamado “Proud to be Nothing”. Se llamaban Pakomoto, Dani and Rafa.

Los chicos se aburrían y se les ocurrió llamar a otro chico de una ciudad vecina llamada Cádiz para unirse al grupo como segundo guitarrista. Su nombre era Pablo.

Una década después, estos cuatro chicos siguen juntos, pero ya no son chicos. Han hecho cuatro discos más, y han girado a lo largo y ancho de la geografía española, por Europa y Norteamérica.

Hace mucho tiempo desde aquellos inicios, y el campo sónico de la banda se ha expandido mucho desde el Rock al Power Pop, desde el Punk a la Americana.

Ahora están de vuelta con su 5º álbum de estudio, llamado "Decalogy". Es un disco que merece una celebración después de más de una década en la carretera.

Hay algunos titulares para este nuevo disco: Ha sido producido por Paco Loco, y hay grandes invitados, como Paul Lazar de Gotan Project, o Dave Smalley de Dag Nasty / Down by Law; así como Muni Camón.

Además, será la primera referencia de su recientemente creado sello propio, Red Vanette Music.

A partir de Septiembre del 2009, podréis conseguir el disco y disfrutar de una nueva gira del grupo.
