About Gerry Perlinski ( July 18th @ Verona Park, NJ)
..This profile was edited with Edit Your MySpace
Gerry Perlinski has been a mainstay on the New Brunswick, NJ indie rock scene for nearly 15 years playing such diverse groups as A Halo Called Fred, Catherine Moon and Akasa.
After releasing "Open The Sound" with Akasa in 2001, Gerry's music went on to be be heard all over the internet, in the local media and in venues across the country. Akasa has been going strong since 1999 and still performs regularly.
In the past few years, Gerry began weaving together a small stash of songs reserved for more intimate settings. By taking it back to the people, he's gone back to smaller venues and coffee houses. Whether its solo acoustic or joined by percussion, additional guitar or violin, he enjoys being a songwriter. "It's where my heart is at.. my goal is to be known as a great songwriter, then guitarist... singing I'm still working on.. ha!"
So if you see his name on a marquee, a coffee house or the all consuming Starbucks, stop in and say hello. You'll be glad you did.
