...formed in the fall 2004 on Oklahoma City, Oklahoma from the ashes of longtime grindcore terrorists SUBSANITY, GESTALT are Mike Standeridge, vocals, Tim Wolfenbarger, guitar, Dave Arnett, guitar, bassist Bill Zachry and FORTE drummer Greg Scott. They have written and performed new material since their inception. In June 2005 the band recorded their debut CD and 7'' "New Paeans of Hate". The disc is a lightning fast assault of discharge simplicity, voivodian abstraction, and slayer propulsion. From the napalm fueled barrage of "like rubbing salt in an open wound for days" to the venomous discord of "Made to be Wasted" GESTALT are firing with a full clip--armed with intriguing lyrics and devastatingly brutal yet varied vocals. The band shift easily into the rigid killing precision and amphetamine climax of "for the backstabbers...". In the last year GESTALT has shared bills with METAL CHURCH, DWARVES, MISERY INDEX, HOLY MOUNTAIN, 3 INCHES OF BLOOD, DEBRIS INC, ACID KING, YOB, SWARM OF THE LOTUS, HEROIN SHEIKS, SEEIN RED, THE ESOTERIC, WINTER SOLSTICE, BURY THE LIVING, MAGRUDERGRIND, ION DISSONANCE and PREMONITIONS OF WAR perfecting their live attack to chainsaw precision. GESTALT have delivered a brief punishing attack on modern metal. The first shot in their neverending war on cliche and conformity. The band are currently looking for a serious label to release their new material.
