I started my musical education at the local music academy at the age of 7, and graduated in 1999 as a laureate for classical guitar and music theory. In the meantime, aged 16, I started playing electric guitar and I soon discovered the magic and freedom you can create with this instrument. With this in mind, I continued my education at the College of Music in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. This was the perfect place to develop my skills and to meet people with similar interests.

Since I picked up the electric guitar I've been playing in various bands. Some might remember me playing in GOD DETHRONED during the "The Lair of The White Worm" and the "The Toxic Touch" era, and right now I'm playing guitar in EPICA.

    Great show at Venezuela... However... I'm... We're (fans) really sorry for the place and all... we hate AVERNO T.T we've been cheated by them...

    Ok, after this "crazy and insane idea", you can also send me to hell but I thought: Arien, in his free time, gives drum lessons, so why don't you propose to give guitar lessons? o.o
    You know, I was talking about this (not about you or Arien, but the idea of giving music lessons in general) with friends and only then this question was sort.
    That wouldn't be bad..and I'd be one of the students eligible to learn

    Bro, dude, mate! good to read from you! Indeed it looks like a long time ago already, but that's maybe because there were some good times spent there. I think so.
    I had to jump so very quickly into normal life again, with the family stuff, you know, kids, house, schools, papers, etc. , barely had time to think and recovered in a couple of days.
    Right now i'm preparing to go to the UK the begining of December for a tour with Monster Magnet and then 4 days after coming back from it i'll fly to the Russian federation for a few more shows there with Dark Tranquillity. Let's see what 2010 reserves for us. ;)
