My name is NANCY A. COLLINS. I am a professional horror writer. I have several books to my credit, including SUNGLASSES AFTER DARK, DEAD MAN'S HAND, DEAD ROSES FOR A BLUE LADY, WILD BLOOD, & KNUCKLES AND TALES. I also used to write for DC Comics' SWAMP THING, back in the day. I am divorced & once had a Boston Terrorist named SCRAPPLE who dominated my world and stained my rugs for 13 years. I now live with my fiance, TOMMY, and our new Boston Terrier puppy,CHOPPER, who is proudly continuing the rug-staining tradition of his forebearer.

    Just finished reading Without Sin and DAMN!!! I think it's one of the best stories ever written.Awesome,beautiful,evil and tough,so thankyou for the great mindcandy.Also thanks for keeping us updated on the Vamps releases because for some reason getting an Austin bookstore to notify me just isn't happening.It's like pulling teeth.

    VAMPYRE is playing LIVE at the Sam Ash Musicfest / Ride For Dime benefit concert on August 22 at Hooter's in Cartersville . . . all-day event, bike ride at 11:00am, bands start at noon, VAMPYRE goes LIVE after dark at 9:00pm! proceeds go to various children’s hospitals and Afganistan/Iraq war veterans. All our MySpace friends say hi to Nosferatu and Chyanne, we'll be partying at Hooter's after the show, c'mon out and help us raise $$$ in memory of brother Dimebag for some worthy causes . . .

    yah, i understand some people don't pick up their books but not all people are like that. I always pick up my orders even if its a day late. That is so cool! I hope the characters match the girls on the front covers because they are so beauitful!!! I know its weird but i have a crush on victor todd. Older men are hot! I hope they make him hot so i can drool over the tv screen. Damn i really hope thise series last a long time. I just love it..

    I preordered after dark yesterday because where i live at they never have copys of the books when it comes out. I had to call to another city to preorder after dark. The barnes and nobles thats near me , they got really stuck up with me and won't preorder the book. Thats why i went to another city!! Idiots!!!

    Usually I'm hesitant about  screen adaptions to any books, let alone the ones I actually like.  But, I can't help but ask if there's any chance we'll see a Sonja Blue adaption on the small or big screens?  Given the quality of recent comic book movies:Sin City, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk(not that Ang Lee fiasco), there's a chance a Sonja Blue movie could be a good thing.

    Hi Nancy,
    I am a huge fan of the Sonja Blue books(I have only read the first three, but I am addicted.) I own the Sonja Blue Collection which has the first three (I think) I just finished reading them for the 4th time and I was curious, I just went on my wife and I's first wedding anniversary to San Jose/San Francisco and we visited the Winchester Mystery house. Was that the inspiration for the "Ghost Trap" house? Thanks for being one of the best horror writers out there. I manage a horror collectibles store and I am always pushing people to read your books. My line is always, "If you liked Twilight.... you gotta read Nancy Collins, she blows that kiddie crap away!!" Talk to you soon!! 
    P.S. If you have any "extra" copies of the other Sonja Blue books just lying around, I would love to read them!!

    Hi there Nancy!!! Thanx soooo... much for adding me. I'm so dying to read "NightLife" which I have on hold at my public library. I loved the first 2. I just finished "AfterDark" when I read books I love reading out loud when I'm my house by myself since I can't read it too myself since I'm always like Hmmm... but seriously wtf is up with Lilith??? I'm like fuckin Bitch!!! LoL!!! But I hope they become friends and not enemies. Hey I think you should make the series into movies. Oh another thing the characters on the cover are they real people like models or did someone draw them. Cuz I'm always like Hmmm.. they are so pretty. Well thanx so much once again for the add. (=
