Hey guys, still been having problems with our myspace, so I need your
    help
with 2 favors.  1, please check your junk/spam foler for any
    messages
we may have sent pertaining to shows (please do so at your
    earliest
convenience as some of the offers are time sensitive). 2.
    please
mark the message "not spam" so that our messages stop appearing
    in
your junk folder (simply moving our messages to the inbox will NOT do

the trick!).  Thank you so much for your time and your patience in
    resolving
    this matter.

...Check out the NEW MySpace for GBN 2.0 AMERICAN STUDIES

There once was a band called GOODBYE NAUTILUS...
Goodbye Nautilus consisted of singer/songwriter Eric Shawn. Dayne & Nick from SF post-hardcore band Untrust Us. Everything from the number of members, songwriting skills, technical ability and chemistry have evolved into a band that is if anything stronger and better than it was years ago. Without hesitation, it's time to say goodbye to Goodbye Nautilus and hello to AMERICAN STUDIES!

American Studies recently tore through a Full Length studio album that was mixed by Ian Pellicci (Deerhoof, Rogue Wave, Bay Bridged v2) at John Vanderslice's Tiny Telephone and we just returned to the Tiny Telephone to record 6 new songs that truly define the new band! Some of the earlier unmastered songs have been posted...we'll likely start transitioning this MySpace and other materials to new homes, but this will take sometime so feel free to hit us up here whenever you feel.

2008 saw the release of our 1st EP "ROAR". It is now sold out, but the song "Damn Japan" still remains on the Myspace player. The Goodbye Nautilus S/T EP, commonly known as "Recycled" saw release in Sept 2009. We're proud of our past and loved every minute, but here's to even better times in 2010!

Stay tuned. Stick around.
