Influences
Birds, especially turky vultures, Sand-blasters, and Old Style. What can I say? I discovered Old Style when I played my first gig as Goudron in Chicago, home of the most intense and balls out live band in the whole world, J+J+J, and they never fail to bring a bunch of the stuff to Detroit when they roll through town. When I'm in the windy city, nothing quenches my thirst better than an ice cold can of Old Style.
The post electro music project of visual artist Ron Zakrin, Goudron is a one man army, armed to the teeth with an arsenal of vintage synthesizers, drum machines, and circuit mangled electronics that he modifies himself. The jams unleashed from this Detroit native compel ones body to hurl through space at critical velocity, and takes listeners on a contemplative ride through a post apocalyptic world.
The music of Goudron will hook, bruise, molest and caress you, evoking memories of rebellious youth and love gone bad. Charged with emotional depth, exciting mood swings and continual drive, Goudron makes music that is wholly synthetic, while harnessing the energy of pure Detroit rock.
Ron Zakrin lives in Detroit, his birthplace, where he paints and composes full time and has recently undertaken a study in the social behavior of a growing wild cat family thriving in the wastelands.

[Guÿôm], a superhero by turns capricious and raving mad, walks the listener through a maze of different soundscapes. While the Little Prince managed to set foot on only seven planets, [Guÿôm] touches down on nine throughout the different tracks assembled here. This voyage of initiation brings the author face to face with his imaginary friends (like Gros Doudou and the famous Billybob), pulling the absurdities that surround him into sharp focus.
