Perspects was Ian R. Clark. Formed in 1998 and active for 10 years, The Perspects sound was propulsive synth disco with vintage rock styling, a sarcastic outlook and ambient tendencies.
Perspects has appeared on numerous independent releases, performed live across Europe and North America and produced a handful of well-received remixes. Perspects has also collaborated on projects with a variety of other artists - from premier electronic dance acts like The Hacker and Franz & Shape; to friends in outside disciplines like writer Dennis Cooper and animator Martha Colburn.
Though the Perspects name has been indefinitely retired, Ian continues to make music and art under his own name and will continue to maintain this page.
Perspects strongly encourages the buying of music. You can purchase Perspects vinyl and CD’s wherever cool record stores are still open. Legitimate downloads are available from many of your favorite online merchants.
There is a sound on the other side of this wall. A bird is singing on the other side of this glass. Footsteps...concealed. Silence is preserving a voice. Walking in the wind at the waters edge. Comes close to covering my rubber feet. Listening to the barbed wire hanging.
