This one is a new cover we've been working on. Let's get country!
Taken from a July 2000 performance in Fulton, KY. This is one of our classic TRL Medleys from The Day. Enjoy with tongue in cheek.
Grandma's Genius could be described as a brother act, or an acoustic duo, or a soncially pleasing experience blending catchy melodic hooks blah blah blah unique sound blah instrumental prowess buzzword mixture of influences. They play solid original songs with great harmonies and memorable hooks. They play covers with a unique twist.
They've been together for ten years and will entertain and surprise you. They are based in Raleigh, NC, where they have nerdy professions and dream of being rock stars.
Thanks for the comment. I really like the music, guys. It reminds me of these very early barenaked ladies demos I've got. If I was still living in Winston, I'd head down to Borders and check out your set. Alas... You should enjoy the son volt show, especially if you like the new album. I saw them a month or two ago out here in L.A. Farrar has got all the stage presence of an unplugged amp, but damn he makes great music.
Thanks for the comment. I'll tell my husband to add you guys also. This is going to be the best reunion since GNR...oh wait...sorry. COME TO ST.LOUIS!!!
I notice Guster in your influences (or was it sounds like?). I'm seeing them at the start of next month in London (which is the third time this year I've been to London - quite amazing, considering I've been about twice in the rest of my life...)
yet another identity from my own personal super-hero jon. i look forward to meeting your brother and hearing you guys play sometime! i think grandma would be proud.
