   About Gravity A
Developing out of a city that is inundated with musical vibrations, Gravity A exhilarates New Orleans' rich musical tapestry with their fresh, dynamic energy and innovative sound. This five years old quartet is inspired by the soulful jazz expressions and second-line fusions of their hometown, yet still draws heavily upon the eclectic possibilities of electronic progressions. Gravity A has become the torchbearer for the city's late night soundtrack featuring the unmistakable sound of true New Orleans funk, tight drum n' bass breaks and intoxicating trance. The band's unique sound is highly dependent upon the musicians' passion for live instrumentation and improvisation, which often lends itself to a rambunctious adventure grooving through sunrise. As opposed to Newton's well-known gravity b, Gravity A has taken their name from the force responsible for the cohesion and semblance of all subatomic matter. At a Gravity A show in New Orleans or beyond, this force is intense and irrefutable. The dance floor is transformed into a frenzy as the polar vibrations of Gravity A's magnetic rhythms and far-reaching frequencies resonate amongst the bopping feet, shaking hips, and smiling faces. Gravity A has performed live sets with: Dr. Fameus (Allen Aucoin of the Disco Biscuits); Mike Dillon (Les Claypool's Frog Brigade); Big Sam; Johnny Vidacovich (Astral Project); Tim Sullivan (Groovesect); Danny Abel (Groovesect); Tim Green (local saxaphone legend). Gravity A has opened for/ headlined after: Dr. Fameus (Allen Aucoin of the Disco Biscuits), Orchard Lounge, Pnuma Trio, EOTO (members of String Cheese Incident), Girl Talk, Breakage (UK), Marcus Intalex (UK), Freaky Flow, Rebirth Brass Band, Mike Dillon's Go-Go Jungle; Elemental Harmonics; System Obsolete; Groovesect. Members of Gravity A have appeared on stage with: Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey; Robert Walter (Greyboy All-stars); James Singleton (Astral Project); The Lee Boys; Elemental Harmonics; The GK Duo; Groovesect; Brian Coogan.
Help Save the Gravity A tour bus, now running on Veggie Oil. One of the belts broke on our way to Knoxville, causing a chain reaction. The belt stopped running the fan, the engine overheated, the engine block cracked. The cost of the new engine is $13,000. Please help us restore this green machine.

UGH! It's just that he picks the damnedest (I know it's not a word) times to take a nap. I am STARVING and I didn't plan on cooking because my dad gave us a gift certificate to go to Ruby Tuesday and we had plans to go. I tried to wake him up over an hour ago and he's still laying there. I'm moving on from annoyed to pissed off! anywayz, it went good. We got stuff for our wii. How was yours? know what sucks? that IM supposed to be the one that knows about "web-stuff" and your profile is better than mine? Maybe I should just let you take care of mine like mom does Dan's...ohh, that reminds me, speaking of mom; i finally got her to start taking those surveys online like i'm doing, cuz i know the extra money sure comes in handy. you should really try em. i mean, if i got mom to try it, psh, i can get anybody to, heh..i guess you'll have to type the link into internet explorer or whatever, but here it is:

www.workforsurveybling.com

... anyhow, I know we are both kinda like "wo
ah" right now. But I just wanted to take a second to remind you that you are Amazing!

Apr 25 2009 2:35 PM

Just giving updates to the fans of our music. We currently only have live recordings from a year ago on our page. A lot has happend to us in that year. We lost our orginal drummer since he moved from Louisiana to Washington State, found a fantastic fill in drummer as well as a tenor sax and pianist, we played live for the first time on the radio, and we are currently working a deal with Orleans Records to record our first professional E.P. or maybe even album. Even though the recordings are live, some people love them and if you get the chance to stop by the page, we would love to hear more input from people. The fans are the ones that motivate us the most.

We hope to hear from you soon and enjoy your summer! Peace & Love.
